Woohoo!  My new Nikasu hori-hori knife came today.  I can't wait to break this one in!  It is a knife, a saw, a spade, a measuring device, etc.  Tough and simply perfect!

I use mine to plant garlic, flower bulbs, measure the planting distances and depth, cut greens, spring onions, chives etc. It's useful as a weeding tool too.

I use my knife more than any hand tool except pruners. It's my main tool for digging in garden beds for harvesting garlic, dandelion roots, anything rooty that's less than 3-4 inches in diameter. As someone mentioned, planting bulbs is so easy with the knife.

Where did you get your new knife? Mine is still good but after 20 years of use the handle is starting to go.
