What pressure canner should I get?

I'm getting near making a 'big' purchase and that is my homestead's pressure canner.

I'm looking for something that
A. Is safe
B. Works
C. Big enough to can all sizes

My current top contender is the All American 1930 921



It is a chunk of change, but the reviews make me feel pretty comfortable. I just don't know if I am missing something such as other brands on the market?

What do you use? Do you have perspective I might not appreciate right at the moment as an inexperienced canner?

You choice is a good one.  If you decide to get a larger one, do take measurements on your stove top to be sure it will fit.

I highly recommend this model with metal-on-metal seal.

And maybe also make sure it fits in your sink. Ferrying smaller pots back and forth across the kitchen is a drag.

We have one each of All American 910 and 930 and use them both each year. I have nothing at all negative to say about them.

I have a Presto and like it—I’ve had it for at least 15 years and it’s still going strong. I don’t love that I have to replace the seals periodically, but I have it and it works, so I’m not going to replace it. At the time I bought it, I couldn’t afford an All-American; if I could, that’s what I would have bought. Enjoy your choice. Pressure canning is great!

Timothy, you didn't say if you were canning now or if you are just getting started.  If you are not that experienced with canning, I would suggest that you start with a lower priced canner.

You could check in your local area on that FaceTube thingy, the one where list their stuff or sale or trade or even for free.  Also a good place to find jars.

I had an All American and it was great, I also had several cheaper ones, its always good to have backup.
And yes we would often have two canners in use at the same time.
