Where I was visiting Wheaton Labs and meeting lots of people from the forums. There were a lot of amazingly energetic young people doing cool things there. Paul was very chill.

Use this thread to share a random dream you had.

Lately I’ve been having a lot of dreams where I’m in some public setting or other (at a grocery store, or in a hotel, at a sports stadium, etc.) when full-scale war breaks out around me suddenly and unexpectedly. In one dream I looked out a window and saw a foreign army flooding into the streets below and clashing with civilians. In another dream rockets started hitting the building I was in, and we were all rushing down stairways to get to the safer inner rooms of the building’s basement.

Sadly this is not a dream but reality for people in some parts of the world. I have family in one such place. I’m lucky for me these are just bad dreams. Still, I wake up feeling freaked out.

For years, I had two reoccurring dreams, one I lost my purse and the other one was about locking up the house (all the doors/windows).

Dreaming about permaculture stuff would have been much more productive.

And like L Johnson, dreaming about visiting Wheaton labs ... such fun!

In my most recent dream, my son and DIL decided I couldn't see my new grandson anymore. It was very confusing -- particularly since they weren't restricting my access to their daughter. I woke up quite traumatized, but glad that it was just a dream.

I don't recollect my dreams as vividly as I once did, but every once and a while I will wake up with a clear picture of the dream.

The last one that I had involved digging a hole in the ground that just progressively had bigger and bigger rocks appear. The only reason that this dream is different than real life is somehow I had all sorts of equipment to pull the rocks out with instead of just some hand tools. Dream tractors are neat.

Last night I had, for the first time, a dream with a comedic element in it that caused me to wake up and laugh—more than once.

In the dream, my drummer’s former bandmates (who in real life I was friendly with) were conflated with some of our real-life mutual friends from high school days. In the dream they had come together to form a joke band, and had decided to call it Lead Zep’lin’, spelled exactly like that, with the apostrophes. They pronounced “Lead” like “leed”.

This hilarious band name is what caused me to wake up laughing the first time. I still giggle to recall it.

Once I fell back asleep, I kept having other dreams, and in them I would tell people I met about that band name, then wake myself up laughing again. I think it happened at least two more times.

I have a lot of really weird and complicated dreams, it's rare for me to not remember my dreams, but I usually "let them go" when I wake up because it's just too much.

Two nights ago, though, i dreamt I was running an art class in a summer college program (which I have done in real life) but that Elon Musk and his little boy and a whole bunch of other tech magnates (who I couldn't identify, but I knew they were billionaire types) were all part of my group. In the program we all lived together in the dorms and had our classes all afternoon and then socialized in the off hours, and so we did that, but there was a 5 year old tagging along to the pub, etc. He was a very sweet 5 year old, but I had a very palpable feeling of unease throughout the dream about feeling insecure among all the fancy adults who ostensibly could have bad things done to me if I displeased them. We went to a dingy pub I used to sing at in college and I played the guitar and I remember thinking that I really missed being nobody, and that now after having been part of their group i would be on the public radar and have to deal with unwanted attention.

Sometimes I wish I had more normal dreams, even if they're all 'the plane leaves in half an hour and my passport is expired and i'm wearing my jammies' kind of things. i guess this is what i get from reading the news.
