The date format isn't completely uniform...I've come across two insurance providers (both strictly Canadian companies) who use opposite formats, so it definitely messes things up. That said, is May Day, the new last day of April, considering I've never known April to be longer than 30 days...perhaps that is where we should place the leap day instead of February.
Pi Day typically falls during Lent, so we tend to do a savoury pie rather than a dessert pie...a meat pie like chicken pot pie, or get lazy and make a pizza. Today also happens to be a nephew's birthday so it's tough to forget.
