BEL #44 June 10, 2025 Tuesday

Today was a hot day, I think it was the hottest so far. We saw 95 by the end of lunch, so snow cones were surely consumed… for safety. Lots of the growies are pretty thirsty in the heat and it’s been a stretch to make sure that all of them get quenched in a timely fashion. I have peened my scythe and filed an edge. The first swing was less than satisfying to be perfectly honest, but I got some pointers and I’m ready to reattempt tomorrow.
Side note: I’m looking for a good boot, I’ve tried more than I care to mention and I’m frustrated by wet feet and separating soles. So if anyone knows of a really good boot preferably where the top is stitched to the bottom rather than just glued please tell me about it!

The sawmill has been surely sited, yet despite our conquest, none were knighted.
