This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the straw badge in tool care.

Here is a video on how to sharpen a pruning saw.

From the video description:
"In a 3 minute video, Polyface apprentice, Timothy Rankin, shows the basics of sharpening a pruning saw."

To get certified for this BB, post the following:

 - Closeup pic of dull tooth
 - Action pic of sharpening a tooth
 - Closeup pic of sharp tooth

I needed to sharpen my folding pruning saw tu use it while snowshoeing in the neighboors forest. So that is done. Always difficult to take zoomed picture but i think we see the difference enough. Used my small triangular file.

I even taked the time to set the tooth. Here is my reference to do it.
Poors mans saw tooth setting.

Everything feel pretty sharp under my finger, i will test it this afternoon in the forest !

I picked up an old pruning saw from the recycling centre at the tip. It was not especially sharp, but after some work with the triangle file, I got it back into working order.

Sounds fishy. It smells fishy too. You say it's a tiny ad, but ...
