I am 51 years old and I have 2 daughters. I have a 129 acre homestead in northwestern mountains of Maine. I have been developing my Sep Holzer style homestead since 2011. Pristine land with very pure mountain water with lots of quartz crystals. I have chickens, dogs cats and bunnies and big gardens. Totally off grid.
Looking for a life partner. I am looking for a man around my age who is strong and capable, solution oriented, spiritual but not religious. I love to chop wood and would love a partner who also likes to chop wood. I am a gymnast and I am very strong. I grow big gardens and enjoy living in nature. I am into wilderness survival. I live the golden rule and I am very honest. I love to sing and dance and cook. My garden is my sacred place and I hope to find a partner who can appreciate the bounty of the nourishing food I grow.

Hi Donanne,

Some of my emails have been lost to some of my friends/relatives, so if I get no reply, I've started to ask to make sure a person actually received them. You answered my first email but not the second longer email I sent: if you got it, then no worries I "get it". If you didn't get my second email, let me know and I'll resend it.

57 YO male...Maybe I am not your "cup of tea". For starters, I have done the actual and REAL wilderness survival thing, A while back I was laid off from my maintenance job here in the KC area...I had always wanted to challenge myself to the wilderness survival thing...So I made arrangements to have someone "drop me off" on the Canada/Minnesota border...at the beginning of September....With only what I carried on my back. Suffice it to say that I did just fine and continued my challenge until the following mid may. I not only managed, but enjoyed weather where the temperatures dropped down to -40f for weeks at a time... Not an easy life, but one that I loved every single day. I did not make this decision with a large bank account, In actuality I chose to do this on a budget of less than $300...for the entire excursion.(Minus the money that went into start up supplies). I am certain that some other person has already responded to your story, I would just like to introduce myself. At this point I have planned a "rest of life" excursion...prepared far FAR better than the first time...and would like nothing more than to share that life with a like minded person. In my first excursion, my only"visitor" was a weasel who visited almost every day...We became so accustomed to each other that he/she would come up and put its paws on my shoes and just stare at me....Never actually allowed me to touch him/her....but he trusted me enough to give that pleasure. Any way, without rambling further, I'd like to present myself for your consideration.  Sincerely hope all is well and that you have found someone who you are comfortable with. Ed Meyer

Hello Donanne from upstate New York. My name is Ron and I am 56 years old. I was raised on a small family owned dairy farm in rural Northeast Pennsylvania living among the Amish. I was then, and still am now amazed at their lifestyle and self sufficiency. I am ready to leave Covid 19 and society in general behind and live off the land and the grid. If you would like to know more please contact me at rstiehl64@gmail.com

Donanne
Been off grid in the bush most of last 20 years in Alaska. Now - 60 miles north of nearest town or road. Have 20 acres and a couple cabins in eastern part of state. Built cabins and lived all over this state. Just wanted  to say I think what you're doing is great. You are a doer not a talker. Alaska has a lot of big talkers that don't do. I'm 59 - 6'3 -about 240 lbs. Trap, hunt, fish can pretty much do it all in the woods. Been thinking of moving on from Alaska. See some new country. If interested or just want to compare lifestyles- mdtrpprgb@gmail.com glen     P.S. Good  snow machine---- Ski-Doo's are the best

I'm 53 and grew up in upsate NY (the real upstate - Lake George and the Daks), but I'm all the way over in NW MT at present so this is just a random hello...you sound Awesome though, I especially like that you sing and dance I've been playing music since I was 8, at one point wanted to make it a lifestyle but its a really hard lifestyle and only kills you the better you get at it...I'd rather just run into the woods, fight fires, and save fish...You remind me a bit of someone I once let go of, and now that the years have passed I see the foolishness of my ways (the hindsight is 2020 cliche is true for a reason, oh my). I sincerely hope you find or have already found someone special for you and the girls, hopefully you aren't still looking...Regards...PS nice frogs, they are a harbinger species so as long as they stick around you are good...

Hello, my name is Rodney Edwards, I have a good heart,I'm in good shape ,and would adore the opportunity to make your days easier, and nights rememberable. I just loved your pictures, the land is almost as beautiful as you. I feel like there's a reason everything happens the way it does. We have to lay the cards somewhere, I'm going with hope because that's as close to prayer as one can get right. I have been lost and found,I have had it all and nothing,I have laughed and loved. My offer is to love you for you and always be honest ,to make your days lighter and brighter, and nights filled with conversation laughter love compassion. If you would like to get to know more about me I would love that. Your friend Rodneyedwards

Hi, my name is Paul, I lived off grid in northern Minnesota for 18 months, but moved to Iowa. I'm 65 years young, good shape, full head of hair, lol, 6 ft 2 220 lbs, great energy. Have a permanent income, and miss off grid living. To me, age is just a number. I'm handy, and have a hell of a sense of humor. Gardens are a specialty, I can run anything with a motor, split wood, and find and harvest wild game. Was a hunting and fishing guide for 26 years. Have a great day

hello...

I am looking on this site for my amazing brother.  I just posted him an ad on this forum.  He is such a great guy.. hard worker, FAITHFUL.. and im a woman that has little trust in men.. and Im telling you.. he is like my dad in that respect.  He is a loyal man.

He has a dream to buy land in Maine and develop some cabins for hunting/fishing/snowmobiling/  ... he has a roofing business that he is ready to retire from.  He has a nice home on land in Southern ME.. he likes fishing, hunting, all the outdoor nature stuff.  He drinks in moderation.. smokes bud.. no heavy drugs..
he has a great sense of humor.. makes me laugh every day.. he is thoughtful and kind.. and a great father.

It might seem wierd for me to reach out.. he doesn't know im sending you this..  but i wanted to reach out and see if you had found someone .. i realize your post is a year old.  if you are still single.. and find my brother interesting.. you can reach me at my email

melissajpenna@aol.com

have a lovely day..
