not wanting to interrupt the Raven's very excellent ' Game - Picture Association ' thread with text I just wanted to say it's really quite fun and is becoming addictive

The first rule of picture game, is you don't talk about picture game.

The second rule of picture game, IS YOU DON'T TALK ABOUT PICTURE GAME!

:)

Edit

Of course I'm kidding.  A picture game is worth at least a thousand words.

@ Joshua - we can talk about the game. We just want to encourage people to avoid the use of any words in the game!

What I particularly like is when people see the visual connections from "rocket ships" to "asparagus" to multi-headed dragon" to "a group of owls". That sequence was awesome permies!

I've been thoroughly enjoying it over my morning tea - I'm with you Judith - it's addictive and much healthier for the brain than many addictions!

Joshua, that's why I started another thread, I had the urge to say something and did not want to interrupt the visuals in the game thread itself

I wonder if that thread is one of permies fastest growing ones?

Let's definitely talk about it. I'm having a lot of fun with that thread. It's a nice break from reading and has become one of my favorites. I look forward to checking in to see what others in the community have posted. It's almost a little like some alternative kind of Rorschach test for me, seeing the kinds of pictures that people contribute and what their minds gravitate towards sharing.

Oops Jay - sorry!  I stand guilty of posting a meme on that thread! 🤔
(Also I gave an explanation to an image today 😮   ...so kill me now!)
I had kinda forgotten about the 'no words' stipulation of the OP.... wasn't sure about it.
I will be a good girl and endeavour to honour this now....just images is more fun really.

Yes I find the thread very interesting, exciting, original, creative and er...a tad addictive! 🤪

Of course!

Just an overused "cliche" quote from a movie.

Super fun game.

Please, continue the discussion.

:)

hahaha, no big deal.    I do notice that when we post a pic as an attachment it won't go through without something in the text box.  I found that one 'period' is enough to get past that requirement though...I see that some use an 'x' .

I do like having a challenge figuring out just why someone posted what they did so I like the no text bit.

It has been a fun flow of visuals....looking forward to more

Amy - you're definitely forgiven - so long as you keep playing!   ;-)

I've been doing some research on maintaining cognitive health in seniors. This sort of game totally qualifies because each new series of pictures makes people think about a new connection. That it's fun make people want to do it, rather than boring stuff like lifting weights. (I get my weight lifting carrying buckets of water to my ducks!)

Let's all help to keep the game going "friendly and fun".

I'm pretty sure I could play this game all day by myself.  It's better with other's input, but still, it could be quite doable.

Yes, Joshua, but there are *other* things we'd like you to be doing, like planting seeds, building soil, grafting and rooting tree babies... the list is so long! The Picture Association Thread is just to bring a morning smile, or a little rest break from the greater goal of making your corner of the planet a more sustainable one.

Oh no! I found the game!
There is no way for me to not play along!

Bring me the box labeled "thinking cap" ... and then read this tiny ad:
