I would have responded to your reply but it was locked. My being here is not to offend, I really am fond of everyone here. If post are deleted or offensive It seems appropriate for the deleting person to communicate the reasons. I really don’t care that a stupid meme is deleted but I would like to know why so I don’t make the same mistake again.

Hey Scott. It looks like there have been a number of different moderators passing through Permies throughout the day, which is the norm, and from what I can tell it's the dismembered body part that didn't go over so well.

This might help.  https://permies.com/t/10914/CENSORSHIP-Paul-Wheaton-requested#99375
https://permies.com/t/120/17422/permies-publishing-standards#785945
and something a bit more recent: https://permies.com/t/134514/

The other thread is locked because you need to start a new thread in the Tinkering forum for the relevant people to get an email notification about it.  Otherwise, they won't see your concerns and won't reply to it.

Thanks R. The second thread you sent was very helpful. I do appreciate the higher standards of the forums. Life is stressful enough.

Huh. The things that get deleted on this site! I thought it was a handy tip.
