I've come from the furthest corners of the Internet to make one request of those who manage this site- Use something other than Comic Sans as the font for your front page. Please.

I'm begging you with every fiber of my being- find something else. Anything else! Times New Roman would even be better. I mean no disrespect- from what I see the site and forums are a great meeting place for like-minded people, but the Comic Sans is painful. Once, it was a good font, but so many have used it for the most inane and ridiculous and silly purposes. It has no character, no interesting qualities- in fact Comic Sans degrades the importance of whatever you publish it in- the font draws interest away. I implore you to cease it's use, for the betterment of general human sanity. Fear may be the mind killer, but Comic Sans has it in a run for its money.

To Font or not to Font. Is this a real question?

I make love to the knowledge and community of this site. The letters are as flotsam on the waves of script. Can we still call them letters? Maybe symbols? Should it just be converted to binary to be loaded in to the brain. This I digress for I am tired. I do not tire of this font, nor will I see. A letter is a letter of a name you be. The meaning is its life, for we are only a dream. Less than drival but more than inane, my spellchecker is broke and so is a dream. Perfect fonts convey the dream, for a man will think tonight. A better world of fonts to dream.

Anyway I still use paper and mecha pencil.

Dude. Chill. "Upgrades" on this site are few and far between, they'll make their upfront font respectable right after the back 40 gets swaled.

Just to be clear, Wil is referring to the page at https://permies.com/ and not the forum pages (which are not using Comic Sans font, by the way).

Comic sans seems perfectly appropriate for "goofballs that are nuts about permaculture."

There is a permie currently working on an overhaul to the permies.com home page (where the comic sans is). It sounds like version 1.0 should be up in a week or two.

Apparently, there are more detractors of the comic sans font.
