Pic not coming along for the ride

when I quote another post? In the meaningless drivel "Caption this" thread, when I try to quote someone presenting a pic to caption (per the games rules), the pic doesn't come along for the ride. Am I doing something wrong?

allas, if it's an attachment it won't come in the quote.  It only comes if the image code is used.

Copy the image link into your post...

You need to have your cursor inside the {quote]s before clicking on the image button, in order for the image to also appear inside the quotes.
