Thank you so much Inge! I've seen some of the gifts you've sent and I'm looking forward to getting a hat.

Another day here at the PTJ, building the sauna.

We have taken great leaps since my last post.

Nearly all of the paneling is done, just a bit in the vestibule to do. The exterior door is hung but they both need latch work before they are operarable.

Overall it's coming together. Should be able to get the rocket heater in here in the next work day or so.

BRK Post 111

Spent the day hanging out in Missoula with Nine, Pierre, and Austin.

We started out at the farmers market. There is really great kombucha and pastries there and I'm going to cave and buy some next time.

But today I picked up garlic, cabbage and cucumbers for pickles and huckleberry syrup. I going to bring all of it to the PTJ fermenting sessions and get taught all the tricks by Austin.

Then we got ice cream, cardamom icecream with coffee on top. Did a few errands. And got some more cardamom icecream at a different spot. Stopped at home depot from some plumbing for the sauna project and headed back home.

We made small feast for dinner at Cooper Cabin. Grilled chicken with cole slaw, greens and yams, cheese, and a bit of lions mane that had fruited. It was a great way to end the day.

So what did I get up to today?...

I took a break from the sauna and spent the morning making ferments with Austin. I made a sauerkraut with dill and cucumbers, then a pint of fire cider.

Austin taught us how to make kimchi too. It is much easier than I thought so next time I go to the market I going to pick up lots of veggies to practice with.

In the afternoon I made a new handle for a froe. I found a maple limb that had broken off and dried out in the woods. It took about 2 hours so I had time to work on a hatchet handle too.

Ended the day with some July 4th celebrations.
