I'm too out of touch to know...Although I bet there are new ones out there, Rion...I think we need to find the ones that are in it for the love of music not the love of money. Sometimes even the most wonderful musicians have been corrupted when their record company gets ahold of them and they lose their freedom of expression.
I just put on "Mad Dogs and Englishmen" ....'unchain my heart' is not on it but you got me wanting to hear that voice:)

You have a point but...I kind of like being out of touch! Lol. I love the 60s & 70s! The golden age of music. At least in my book it is.
I always liked a good blues album on hot summer afternoons in front of the fan...just finished outside...now for some Jimmy Reed:)
Vee Jay 2LP-1035 "Jimmy Reed at Carnegie Hall"(record A) and "The Best of Jimmy Reed" (record B)
edit to add..."Leadbelly Sings Ballads of Beautiful Women and Bad Men" Sutton SU 278 (not the best record label)
see if you can find 'Where did you sleep last night' by Leadbelly and then the Kurt Cobain version on Unplugged quite a few years back...really, really nice. Kinda like Eddie Vedder singing Dylan's 'Masters of War' for Bob Fest awhile back...it just gets better.
