Rion...my brain is hearing whispers of "oh, no, more Neil Young" so this is a local group...to us (Mountain View, AR)...that I think you might like called "Harmony" ...Robert and Mary and Dave... Good music Good folks Good neighbors...I don't know what they have on youtube we always hear them live but they have produced a lot of tapes and cds over the years.

Judith, Are you kidding? Today, you've got me listening to Neil Young's Zuma and his remastered HDCD of his greatest hits.... Sounds sooo good. I also revisited Patti Smith's Horses and Easter albums and recently listened to Philip Glass's Satyagraha opera. This morning, I found this gem....

Neil Young's - "POCAHONTAS" covered by Gillian Welch and David Rawlings -

HARMONY = "Mary Ann" at Hobbs State Park Arkansas - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q79HjRXUlAc

Nice. Thanks.

I look forward to hearing that cover...I like GW and DR.
Zuma's a really good record...the cover art I think got nominated for some of the worst but the artist was in 'Greendale' and I liked his art work that I saw in that movie....if you haven't heard it check out the album "Life" esp. "Prisoners of Rock and Roll". (you shouldn't encourage me you know)
...gotta get outside.....

a couple period albums that still sound wonderful...
"The Strawberry Statement" sound track album from the movie ( which is from the book which, of course, is from the event itself)
1970 MGM 2SE-14ST

"Hair" 1968 RCA LSO-1150 I road the bus to Chicago to see this on a stage..summer of '68...lots of changes that year and eye opening moments...

I hope I am not repeating myself...this thread may need an index soon.!
