What critter(s) squicks you out?  I mean really churly, kookadoo and squirrelly?

For me - snakes.  Any size or color.  Icky, eeeuw!  Can't even look at snake skin boots, hat bands or belts.  When the girls were little a trip to a zoo did not include the reptile house.  And it is not because I've been bitten either, been like this from a young age.

Some have told me that my most powerful spirit animal is a  ------ yeah you guessed right, that's karma for you!!!

I have never been afraid of snakes.

My parents taught me to look out for them and to avoid them.

Most bugs do not bug me.  I am not a fan of earwigs because they stink,

To answer your question, I cant stand mice.

I got a cat so no more problems with mice.

Ticks. Fucken ticks. I've found five of the bastards on me so far just since last frost. I've had Hunny carving them off with a knife. I think he's eagerly anticipating for me to get one on the neck....

Spiders freak me out pretty good. I'm not sure it rises to the level of a phobia, but maybe. If they're little, no problem. If they're big, I give them their space, but will still leave them be -- I figure if there's enough for them to eat in the house, I'd rather they were eating it. Occasionally one appears that's too large to abide and I'll whack it. It's weird how a terrifying spider with a leg-span of 4-5 inches is just this tiny little crumpled ball after being killed. Then I feel bad about being such a spazz. One time at a friend's house, my wife was stroking their tarantula to feel the fur, and I found myself pressed against the opposite wall experiencing more stress than was really reasonable.

I love spiders!
I fear individual snakes but not all snakes...just cottonmouths and rattlers.

I fear wild hogs.

There are other things I dislike immensly and try to avoid, like ticks and blister beetles, but I don't fear them.

Maybe we need a definition of 'fear' .

I'm with Joylynn - TICKS give me the squicks! Lyme, Alpha-gal, and other nastiness, combined with how ubiquitous they are, in this area - I pulled no less than a dozen off John, JUST TODAY. They're in the hay, in the wood piles, everywhere I forage... And a son as you find one - you're freaking out all day, "Check the back of my thigh!" "GAHHH!! I feel one crawling across my back!" "SHIT! CHECK MY GROIN!!!" Nastiest things ever!

Spiders. How can an adult woman be afraid of spiders which are so much smaller than she is? I remember being afraid of them as a child even though no one else in my family was. My husband and sons are not afraid of them and one son picks them up in his hands, even the big fat hairy ones. I can't read articles on phobias because there's always a picture of one on the page. One article (arachnid picture removed by Mr Ara) even said that arachnophobia only affected arachnophobes when they saw a spider, unlike agoraphobia which affects sufferers all the time. For a so-called expert to write that, I thought, how little they know about arachnophobia. Shiver, shiver, shiver, just thinking about them.
