Something got me thinking about rainbows.

Rainbows must have been magical to humans at some point. People also probably saw more rainbows, I think they were something to look for.

---

Something about the connection to the nature. Connection to the rain, the sun, the earth and the air.

I have been living in the forest for three years now, and still feel too disconnected from the nature. Reconnecting slowly, enjoying every moment of it.

A thunder storm is coming my way. It's always so resfreshing. Like a reset. Maybe there will be a rainbow.

Saw a faint double rainbow last week driving home from work. It was an odd one, very low in the sky, maybe only 1/3 of what a "normal" rainbow is.

a couple weeks ago, i made an unusual trip into town in early evening to go to a concert, right after a storm had passed through. for fully 90% of the 35 minute drive, i had recurring rainbows, including a big double when i was nearing my destination.

our weather just turned and there's been no sun (hard to make a rainbow with no sun) but I remember when I lived in New England, a rainbow was a Big Deal.
Here in South America, they're practically commonplace (when it's not winter...). They are still delightful, though!

I saw a nice rainbow last week. My shop faces slightly North East so is perfect for rainbows caused by the setting sun. The showery, breezy weather we get sometimes apparently is perfect for rainbows, since you need rain, and breaks in the rain too.
They definitely are magical things though, since you can never get close to them.

This year's rain pattern has been odd. I didn't get any afternoon thunderstorm that brings out the rainbow. Instead, the rains came as severe storms overnight several times. I did see rainbow once, but it was in the morning in southwest!
Picture below was a few years old. I got a full view of the double rainbow in my backyard.

We had a really clear one about 4/5 days ago.

It looked like it ended in the next field over and we really might find that pot of gold.

PI day is 3.14 (march 14th) and is also einstein's birthday. And this is merely a tiny ad:
