Apples on permies are most often given for posts that we feel help others, or that provide an interesting insight, or a neat point of view.

What was your favorite thing you posted on permies that was considered apple-worthy?

Each post has a little yellow square
on the first line of the post by the date, left end. If you click that, then look up at your browser's address bar, that's the exact address of that post, and can be copied to make a link to that exact post.  On mobile, you hold your finger on it, and you'll get a pop-up with options to copy the link, open it in another tab, open it in an incognito tab.  Copy the link and paste it here, so we can see your favorite post that earned an apple!

One of my favorites was  https://permies.com/t/46859/Timeless-Building-Christopher-Alexander#481745  talking about the insights I got from reading Christopher Alexander's books.

What was yours?

This is one of my favorites, largely because it was something I did that made a big difference in how I looked at things, and the post got apples, so I like to think it helped some other people change the way they viewed things as well.

This is one of my favourites (and I earned pie for it too!)

decluttering with milk cartons

I enjoyed looking up all the storage ideas....Still waiting on the house extension, but the workshop is much less cluttered!

This might have been my first apple?
https://permies.com/t/58916/Clogging-Pipes-Struvite#727080

That was some recognition of the post, even if it was where the thread ended...
Obviously I still think of it, and I am reminded as I fix the errant streams of my showerhead now and then.

I think I have too many to choose from!

This may be the first time I was awarded *2* apples: https://permies.com/wiki/87192/Holy-Shit-Managing-Manure-save#716986
It was definitely my first book review and I still think it's a great little book!

I can't find it now, but it was something about why did your neighbors decide you were crazy, or something to that effect. That was a great thread, and I had a lot of fun coming up with answers, and got quite a bit of love on the post about using my cute little convertible car into a mini pickup, by putting the top down.

My favourite had to be one of my BBs in PEP Textiles. First I thought of the hat(s) I knitted, but that did not have any apple.
But this one has apples: Make twine! Making twine (or string, cordage, thread) of plant fibers is something I still often do.
