We have a nice Eureka coffee grinder with adjustable grind (espresso to coarse). The family is in process of getting off coffee. What other tasks can I use this machine for? (if I clean it well).
We have a coffee grinder labeled, "spices only - no coffee." So far as I know, it's been used to grind only spices, and I've heard no complaints about it.
I suppose if you clean out your old grinder to rid it of coffee oils, then it could stand-in for spice-grinding.

i recently bought myself a cheapie grinder for seed and spice grinding. we eat a lot of seeds (pumpkin, chia, flax) as a better alternative to protein powder and my blenders just weren't doing a great job. this little thingie (just like a coffee grinder) works wonders!
I also use it to grind my own spices, which saves me money and allows me to make blends that are hard to find here (like garam masala, for example).
My "old" coffee grinder is now used to grind up assorted natural dyeing materials - notably cochineal beetles, and partially re-hydrated madder roots. Meanwhile the coffee 'dragon' grinds and then brews the coffee all by itself at the press of a button. What bliss.
