What to do with shredded pulled pork?

Tonight I had a sandwich on a bun with butter, lettuce and tomato.  This was pretty good.

Other ways to use up shredded pulled pork?

I believe I would repeat the above until it was all gone. Mmm, pulled pork.

I'm pretty sure you could freeze it and do a reprise down the road.

Heat and mix well with your favorite BBQ sauce, serve warm on a large bun, and top with coleslaw.

If the pulled pork isn't heavily sauced it will make a nice base for pasta sauce or chili.

You could mix in some Mexican seasoning and reheat it to make tacos or burritos, or nachos.

Thomas! That's one of my all time favorites!

Michael, that's similar to what I was going to suggest - if it's simply smoked & shredded, I would turn some of it into tacos al pastor, with some pineapple, peppers, etc. Here's a link for a version of it (for any who aren't familiar):

Pork nachos!!! Tortilla chips, pulled pork, jalapenos, cheese and whatever else you like. This is the only reason I even go to the trouble of smoking pork shoulders.

Breakfast burritos!

We occasionally make a big batch with pork carnitas and a variety of other ingredients and freeze them. If you're planning to freeze them, make sure all the ingredients are at room temp or cooler before assembling, as any steam will make the tortillas soggy upon reheating.

To reheat, wrap in a damp paper towel and microwave for 3 min, then broil/toaster oven them for a little bit of texture. You can also toaster oven them from frozen, just watch the heat so the tortillas don't burn.

Whoever said 'Chili!' gets a Bonus gold star... Yep, makes for Amazing Chili..

If anyone is interested, I can also post-up Our Family-Fave Recipe for making what is - in My humble opinion / experience - THE Best 'baseline' (Amazing without any sauce) Pulled Pork, Ever.

Yes, that's a 'subjective assessment', but.. Everyone we've ever served this Recipe to has had nothing but 'More, Please!' to say about it, so.. Let me know if desired to post-up (only asking since I know this isn't the "Recipe section"

Those all look really good!! Somewhere in my freezer is some pulled pork I should pull out and turn into tacos or chili!

I am surprised I haven't seen anyone say put it on baked potatoes yet. Pulled pork is surprisingly good on baked potatoes with sour cream and chives.  And you could probably go crazy and do butter and bacon bits and cheese if you really want to be decadent.

mmm... pulled pork... So good.

I make mine pretty plain (just salt and maybe some vinegar), and sometimes I cook up some rice, add a little coconut aminos (soy sauce alternative) to the pork, and then serve it up with some cooked mustard greens or other vegetables and it makes a really nice easy meal.

It's great in burritos too. Or in burger buns with some coleslaw.

OK, well.. Since no one 'objected'.. Here is Our 'GOAT'(In My Humble.. Recipe for Pulled Pork:

- Large Pork Shoulder
- Several (5-6) Large Cloves Garlic
- Course mill-ground Sea Salt
- Very Course mill-ground Pepper
- 1x Large Can Condensed Milk (14 oz)
- 1x 20oz bottle Cane-Sugared Coca-Cola ('Mexi-Coke', the 'Original / Classic', in Glass is best - And cane sugar, is a Must - NOT 'diet' or 'zero', yukk..)
- 2-3x Whole Cinnamon Sticks..
- 1-2x Large Bay Leaves
- Fresh Cilantro
- Sliced-Onion (optional, but Recommended..)
- Rosemary (optional, but Highly Recommended..)
- 1 tsp. Cumin (optional, but Recommended..)
- Red Pepper-flakes, to-taste (optional, but Recommended..)

..'Stab' the Pork in various spots / Insert cloves of garlic; Press / rub-in course Sea Salt, ground coarse Pepper and Rosemary (if using); Put in crock pot / stew-pot w/ Condensed Milk, Coke, Cinnamon, Bay Leaves and Cilantro / Onions / Cumin, etc, and top-up w/ Water.

Here's roughly how it should look, pre-cook:

(...this is Obviously before adding the Coke / Cond-Milk.. Figured I'd put a snap of it Before - since After adding all that - it just looks like a big pot of Dog Barf.. 😬

Simmer ~3-5 hrs, (Stovetop) on Med heat (~6-8 hrs if slow-cooking in a Crock) Stir occasionally / top-up with Water to ensure Pork shoulder remains Covered. After cooking time is Up, 'test flake' - If it 'shreds easily' with a Fork - it's likely Good to Go. (but Do check the 'thicker areas', to ensure the 'Core' is done, also)

Extract the Pork, and 'Fork-Shred' in a coverable Glass-bowl, once cool enough to handle (though it usually just Falls-Apart when done properly) Be sure to enjoy some 'raw' (No BBQ sauce) to Fully appreciate the Awesomeness of this 'base recipe'.

Then, simply blend in yer favorite BBQ-sauce, and pile on a Sesame Bun with some Onion-slices, more sauce... And wash it down with copious amounts of your favorite Ale - or more Mexi Coca-Cola.

Feedback, Appreciated - Njoy!
