I couldn't find a thread about mobile view issues, so here is my question.

Is it possible to add the "report" button to the mobile view? How about thumbs up?

I occasionally find myself wishing to report or give thumbs up but don't because the desktop view takes forever to load on my less than ideal mobile internet. I imagine I am not the only one.

Thanks to Paul and staff

When I look at mobile view, I see "report" and "thumbs up".   Are you logged in?

Maybe it is because my account has superpowers?

Hmmmm.....

Yes I am logged in. I see the thumbs up now, but no report.

Could the size of my screen or zoom settings affect what shows?

I am pretty sure that the answer to that is "no".

So you currently see no "report to moderator" button.   That seems pretty important.

Anything else?

Not at the moment. I will check on my husband's phone later to see if anything is different.

No report-to-moderator showing up for me either.  I almost never use the mobile view, so I'd never noticed.  Not that I report to moderator very often - I'm usually the one picking up the reports...

I am thinking it might be good to come up with six or seven improvements to the mobile view and then see if we can take that list to the developers at coderanch.

I'm currently seeing (+1)(-1)(+Pie)(Quote)

Is the -1 report? Or is that just a dislike?

I think it's a dislike.

Jeremy - be brave - experiment pressing all the buttons on this post.  Say 'Hi' if you accidentally report me

Here's the link.  It looks like an "unlike" button, maybe for when you accidentally like something. When I clicked it on a post I was trying to report, it didn't change the number of likes on it, so maybe it's just removing your own "like".

There's really just those four buttons.  Attaching a screenshot.  I knew what the other three do.

I've tried ticking the "request desktop site" box in my browser, but while that reformats the page, the buttons stay the same.

If you have pie, you have the ability to downvote.

Ah, ok.  This is not a big deal.  I'm not worried about it.  I just saw someone being not nice and thought I'd do my part, but couldn't figure out how to.  But it's not interfering with my ability to use the site.

Please, if you see something like that hit the 'report' button and tell us.  This place gets kinda chaotic and stuff gets missed.  It's much, much better if we can nip things in the bud before things get totally out of hand.

Burra, sorry, but that's the whole point of this thread.  If you're on mobile view, there is no 'Report' button.  See my screenshot above.

Here's one from Thyri in the New Pollinators topic:

Thyri Gullinvargr wrote:I think the apple button may not be working for me on my Android Marshmallow tablet with Google Chrome. I just checked on my phone, and this is true, no "Report" button in Mobile View.

We never had a report button on the mobile view.

I added one just now. Give it a try.

Yup - seems to work.  The first post on this thread was just reported.

Took me a minute to figure out what was going on...

When using the search function in mobile view there is no option to Match The Exact Phrase Entered. There's only Match All (and) Match Any Of The Search Terms. Having this useful option really narrows the search.

Also note, the mobile view does not gray over the names of users not conforming to the Permies Real Sounding Name Policy. It only highlights them in bright red. (Funny to read, but not as Paul intended.)

I tried to send a reply by my phone, but every single time I hit "submit" the reply page reloaded (with my text still there). There was no error massage or you know something like "you are banned here you can't send massages etc" (nothing to do with permies.com, usual for many forums- with no reason etc).
So I tried to send the same massage by my computer error massage appeared. No big deal, I was using abbreviation. Is it possible to make error massage appear also on mobile? Reloading the page with no error report is a bit confusing.
Thanks!

Is the problem still there?   I just now saw this thread and don't see a "all fixed" message.
