I think the apple button may not be working for me on my Android Marshmallow tablet with Google Chrome. I was trying to apple one of the VPDC video posts for the tour last night, I think it was the instant view one, and it failed. I just tried again on Windows 7 with Google Chrome and it succeeded.

I just tried it again on my Android tablet and it worked. I'm going to write it off as either glitchiness or PEBCAK (problem between chair and keyboard).

Sometimes, just let someone up the chain know and we have the apples to spare.

Also as a Pollenator you get one apple per 24 hours to give out. As of Mountain Time, midnight, at the Lab. So you may not have been able to give one because you were out---and later, reset and could award one. Yes, timezones are no fun, but... Wheaton Labs and Missoula MT ( USA) is currently GM-6.  So figure that to when your apples reset.

For what it's worth, that was the first apple I tried to give. By the way, I'm giving details because I know it helps if someone wants to troubleshoot but I'm personally OK if there's no further follow-up for me specifically. I'm in IT so I try to give as much potentially useful description as possible when someone else is troubleshooting.

Maybe my first apple wasn't available until after midnight?

Thyri, as soon as you were promoted to pollinator, your first apple was available to give. As to your tablet issue, you are in IT, so I'm gonna leave that one alone.

I don't expect anyone else to troubleshoot my device. I remember being on a help desk and having people call in saying their whole team had a problem for weeks and seeing that no one called in an incident. I tend to put this stuff out here because if no one reports it, no one knows there's a problem to fix. Now if someone else says they had a problem giving an apple on their first day, you can start to see a pattern. If no one else does either it was just me or no one else is reporting it. Easy peasy.

Welcome and congratulations to everyone!

Thyri, what exactly did happen when you try to click the apple button? And are you able to give out apples now?

Yes, I can give out apples now. When I clicked the button, nothing happened. No apple, no error.
