I was thinking of turning at least one (with the crack) into a bulk
feed bin either by using it as-is or by removing the plastic tank and installing a plywood box inside. I figure I can probably make the box larger (taller) than the dimensions of the cage, since the cage can be at least partially dismantled, thus providing greater capacity in the same
footprint.
I've seen them disassembled and used as crates/hutches for housing and/or transporting small livestock (calves, sheep, goats), with the tank providing
shelter and the cage keeping them in--but I don't have much use for that.
Thanks for the replies so far! It seems like there ought to be a million and one ways to repurpose them, but I'm drawing mostly blanks. I'm waiting for that, "oh, duh" option to be thrown out there...
