Wow!  I wish they sold them here.  And that Heineken wasn't so expensive...

That's really neat-I'm inspired. I will build a wall very soon out of these-Mickey's bottles here in Canada. I will have to cut the tops off , but that will be easy with my tile saw. Love that green color

That is SO cool.  I am designing ways to use mostly bottles to build houses without hardly any cement and lots of reused objects.  Very exciting stuff!

I own this great plaster sprayer I got from Nolan at www.mortarsprayer.com.

I'm kind of giving away my idea, but hey that's what forums are for, right?  Go ahead and try something and let me know.

So I am glueing the bottles together to get them to stay in a big stack to make a wall, and spraying stabilized plaster onto both sided.  You can put jars over the ends of the bottles in areas where you want windows.  Get it?

Cheers,

Hello Scott,
I found this older post and wondered if you ever found stackable bottles here in the US.
I currently have a bit over a hundred thousand clear wine bottles that I have been saving. They are unique in that they are all the same.  I am looking for the best use for them to do something exceptional.

All my best,
Nolan

I have read the story about the stackable bottles, I cannot remember the details but they were discontinued.
100,000 wine bottles how big is that pile?
How do you define exceptional?
What thoughts have you had so far on the use of them?
Rammed earth  with bottles and jars laid inside comes to mind.

STOP THE PRESSES
I have just noticed a range of square and rectangular spirits bottles at the local spiriys shop.
I reckon they would be ideal for building, just harder to collect.

Here is another thread on the Heineken bottles:

And some ways to use them:
