I vote we replace the version on the site with this current version ASAP. Great work Alex!

I like the latest version a lot. I always liked the old version best, with its rotating tweaks like sickles and such, but this is the next best version I have seen. The partial figure gets the superhero, determined gardener aspect, and the distressed typewriter font has a low-tech, homespun feel as well as linking back to the long-time logo. The whole figure with tree and plants was never a logo but an illustration, not readily translatable to multiple scales as a logo needs to be.

It also occurs to me that the typewriter font suggests individuals communicating (on a forum), which may have been one of the parts of what made it a good logo for Permies.com.

I just spoke to paul on the phone about this. It sounds like he likes the one you most recently posted alex. Now, he said the trick is to get it to work with the new wood forum look.

Not exactly a logo, but too cute not to add here. The Bernal Brothers made this little gif of Paul walking!
