This BB came to my attention at a perfect time. I’ve spent the last month and a half canning like a madwoman. I added scraps (peels, cores-without seeds, and mushy fruit bits) to a 5 gallon bucket. I covered the scraps in leaf mulch. (Leaves from my own maple trees!)
