How long do you dry seeds for seed saving?

I currently tend to let my seeds dry for about 4 days before putting them into storage.

Based on their appearance, it seems like they are dry by that point.

I normally mean to dry them for a week or so.  Then I find them a few weeks later  It doesn't seem to hurt them to let them dry longer.  I truthfully don't give it much thought and I have good germination.  Their longevity may suffer, but I've never stored seeds long-term so I can't be sure.

I just ordered a bicycle pump that I'm going to use to vacuum pack seeds.  I'll probably have to be more conscious of the moisture content of those.

I tend to go about a week. I'm not overly particular about it, and in fact I have some red kuri/hokkaido squash seeds that have been sitting out on my counter top for two weeks now. I walk right by them but can't seem to see them and bag them. For storage, I use paper bags or envelopes. I'm going to go bag those squash seeds right now....

I've done the same thing recently with some cucumber seeds.
