This thread was inspired by the Krakenberry Pie here: Pie Mania

I found this pie and it immediately reminded me of that thread.  Has anyone heard of Cthulhu Berry? Or does anyone know what kind of berry this is?

CthulhuBerry Pie, a type of Octopus Pie or OctoPie, is a sweet confection that is simultaneously fruity and totally tentacular. It's a remarkably easy pie, provided you can lay hands on both an octopus and a sous vide cooker, as well as some Cthulhuberries.

If you don't have octopus you can substitute with a hot dog:

or just make an octopus pie:

Happy Pie day 2023!!
I saw a recipe the other day for butterscotch pie, I never knew how it was made, might have to make some soon!
It's basically brown sugar and milk boiled to caramelize it.
Neat!

Sounds a bit like Gypsy tart
(OK - a tart is a topless pie in the UK). We used to have it for school dinners. I've tried once or twice to make it, but never got that fluffy texture the dinner ladies used to excel at!

The recipe I saw was on Mother Earth News
Butterscotch pie recipe

I make a lot of random pies of the chess/cream pie type, had never read how they get the flavor of butterscotch before. I definitely won't do it that way, I don't care for pastry crusts, or meringue, but I like good flavors.
