I was trying to find a specific thread about making salad dressing for idiots.  Although I might have dreamt it.

Then I thought "why not write a daily-ish email about salads",

to wich I replied "you don't know squat about salads, you hate raw veg"

She's right.  I don't know much about salads.

Can you help me find the best threads here on permies about salads - especially permaculture ones where we make as much from scratch (or soil) as possible?

Ha, I need a salad dressing for idiots thread. I grew up eating salads with no dressing, but company is not impressed when being served a naked salad!

I'll try to remember to come back and look for it if no one beats me to it, but if I recall correctly, there are a number of creative salads on the PEP forage badge. The BB about eating a dish with at least a cup of foraged foods.

I end up referencing this "salad" thread at least once a year: Edible Flowers. It's not your "normal" salad thread, but I love the idea of flower salads, and I personally love adding them to my own salads!

I haven't made it myself, but my understanding is that the simplest salad dressing would be olive oil. Just that, maybe with a bit of salt. Then there are vinaigrettes, where you whisk in some vinegar at a ratio of 1 part vinegar to 4 parts olive oil. Like this article this article
