I'm getting in the christmas spirit today by icing the cakes, making mince pies and sausage rolls, and maybe even starting to decorate the spruce tree my husband brought in yesterday! You can tell I'm a bit behind - but who's keeping score!

Hoping everyone has a better year next year!

It's just us, for Christmas (as usual), so it will be quiet, with no big kitchen things going on - yet. My son & 2 of his are coming after the New Year,  so today, I'm starting some simple cookies, to make ahead - molasses and sugar cookies - that will get rolled and frozen, and a few of each baked, to have as dessert, a few times. If I don't run out of spoons, I might make some fudge & pecan pie truffles, too. But, most of my active focus this whole week (beyond critter care) will be on rearranging my craft room, so my new, teenage granddaughter will have a separate guest bedroom from the guys. Seems important!

Merry Christmas, one and all!

Have a great Christmas everyone.

There is something wrong in my head. I spent the morning decluttering the kitchen so my wife and I can mess it up again this evening.

On a positive note, my phone has been ringing all day with wishes from many people I haven’t heard from in a while.

I’m tired from all the cooking, and the party hasn’t even started yet. Looking forward to tonight, coming back home and having a good night sleep and to Christmas morning.

I loove Christmas morning. We make coffee, open presents and binge on See’s candy! Then go outside and spoil all the critters with the best feeds and treats.

Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas Permie people. It's 10.30 Christmas morning. Already hot. Santa wasn't kind this year- apparently everything I asked for was either illegal, immoral or really bad for me. So much for being good for a whole year.

This time of year is a time of gifts, giving and celebration.  Many religions celebrate their festivals, including winter and summer solstice, rohatsu, Hanukkah and Christmas. And as members of this fabulous Permies family we take time to thank each other for being there for support, for knowing the answers and for celebrating each other's achievements.
Fran and I wish each of you a joyous and festive season.  May 2025 bring each of you everything you wish for yourselves together with good health, healing, great friendships and prosperity.

Merry SKIP book to me! Wow, I didn't even have to put it on my Christmas list!

My husband said, "Don't tell them I bought it used!" I said, "It's Permies. They are happy either way! Just spreading the love helps the Empire."

Merry merry everyone. I guess I will be very busy in the new year!
