This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the straw badge in tool care.

Tractors are great, and maintaining their implements is critical to having them be ready for work at any time.

Clean, grease, and oil one of the following implements:
 - back blade
 - grader
 - auger
 - loader
 - draw bar
 - forks
 - other common tractor implements that require grease and/or oil

Post proof of the following as pics or video (<2 min):
  - Implement before cleaning, greasing, and oiling
  - Implement while cleaning
  - Implement while greasing
  - Implement while oiling (if applicable)
  - Implement after cleaning, greasing, and oiling

I went up to the lab the day after the BB20 event to do this BB on the back blade for the tractor.  Note to self - remember to bring water when you want to clean something.

does a mini excavator count as a tractor for the sake of this bb?

I would think that a mini excavator is not a tractor "implement"

It appears that I maintained the same back blade implement at WL that Mike did over 2 years ago except it now had a LOT of rust. I used steel wool, a lot of elbow grease, and art ludwigs greywater oasis soap and water for cleaning (mullein wasn't going to cut it for me but definitely made me LOL! to see that!). Stephen advised that I used white lithium grease for the moving surfaces (pins and bushings) and linseed oil with a wool cloth for all the non-moving surfaces.
