I experiment with a lot of arty things, but I keep at the oil painting.  Here's a link to my site.  http://rdixonart.weebly.com

I like to paint pet portraits.  Here is a picture I recently painted of my sisters dogs Bella and Gretta.  They live in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.  I hope you like it. I am not sure if the picture will post or not.  I did not see it in the preview.

I lost all of my art scans when my other laptop crashed, but here are some paintings from a few years ago.

Kate Callahan, nice work with the dogs.  The one on the left, especially, makes me think she's a fun-loving goofette.  Over the years, I've painted many portraits of my friend's dogs, and thought I could do pet portraits as a sideline.  I was mistaken--without knowing the dog personally, I find it difficult to convey the personality.  So I'm sticking to dogs I know.

Thank you all for your kind words of encouragement.  I don't really know my sisters dogs on a personal level as we live pretty far from each other, but the one on the left is definitely a fun-loving goofette according to my sister.  Painting is a God given gift and I really enjoy it. It is a form of meditation and often when I am done, I look at the work and think to myself, how did I do that?

been doing epic amounts of craftwork, especially beadwork lately, thought i would share some of the pics...

took a lot of pics for listing on etsy.com, but before i could post them up pre christmas time, i sold most everything i had photographed before even getting to list! well still have a lot of stuff to list, once i get another big photo session done of my latest work..

already sold all of the pieces i made in this style -->

will have to make some time to make some more, but the spiral stitched straps take quite a while so i havent yet made any more with those amethyst pendants...
do still have a few left that i did with abalone centerpieces..

and quite a few i did with no pendant, just the spiral stitch

also made a ton of rainbows!

did a couple of commissioned pieces of extra long rainbow earrings, and decided to make a few more that way-->

liked these so much i made a duplicate and been enjoying these for myself -->

well thats probably more than enough for now =)
procrastinating a bit to list what i do have left to list on etsy...if i finally get it all listed up in the next few days i will remember to come back here to drop a link...

yeah i have been doing ok and selling a lot of stuffs =)

my new landmates are much more extroverted/social, and they have been selling my stuff for me on consignment...which is nice. plus i have been selling online and people contact me for pieces that they saw, or something similar. i like that my work sells itself, when it does =)
