Well, this is a forum I haven't perused yet. So nice to see everyone's creativity come out in so many different ways! Myself, I love to paint. I work in watercolor. You can see my art work on my website if ya like: www.tracywandling.com

But here a few. I generally paint nature subjects - very detailed close-ups.

Tracy I seem to be following you around the forums. LOL. Your watercolors are stunning. I am off to check out your website next.

I hadn't checked out this page yet either and I am not surprised at all the beautifully creative folks we have here. I guess I am a generalist. A writer, a sometimes artist, and sometimes photographer. Also someone who needs to update the website but you can see more here in my corner of the interwebs.

Flickr is the best place to see my photos. There are lots of dogs, and water birds and hummingbirds.

For many years I have worked as an author of children's books which meant traveling to speak to kids at schools and events to promote my books. While I still have a few books to finish, I have turned more toward essays and adult non-fiction now.

And for fun I love to play around with collage. Dogs are usually one of my favorite inspirations.

Hi Susan;

You stalking me?! Thanks very much! I love that humming bird photo! I've been trying to capture the birds around here with my camera, but they are just too fast for me. I'll have to do a 'sit very still with camera in hand' session, and see if I can't get some of the little beauties. Hope you enjoy my website!

Cheers
Tracy

Tracy - I love to stalk like-minded folks. LOL. I think I found you on Facebook. Redwood City? Really? I live in Scotts Valley, recently in San Jose. Hubby still works over there. Small world. I got into photography in order to ID the birds in our yard. We had a teeny tiny lot in San Jose that I converted to native plants and the bird population exploded. But they were too fast for me so I learned how to photograph them in order to ID them.

Tyler, Thank you. That's my Zoey. Sometimes a great model. Othertimes, not so much. Hardest dog I have ever had (we always do rescues) but she has taught me how to be a better dog trainer.

These are some of my best cell phone photos. Sometimes the opportunity is there and a phone is the only camera in sight.

I've gotten quite sculptural with some of my hedge pruning. The last photo has been part of many of my ads.

Dale, you're so right. We have to grab whatever means to capture that we can. I have been challenging myself to get better with my cell phone camera as it isn't nearly as heavy as my Nikon. Love that one of the deer.

Some of the deer in this neighborhood have become conditioned to my presence. When they see my truck or hear me trimming trees, they come running. A neighborhood with lots of deer tends to have better quality forage up high. They really like the tips of fruit tree branches.

The Robin and Jay both took advantage, when I dug a pathway and turned up thousands of ant larvae.

We had some amazing sunsets in Parksville Last Summer. And artist who paints sunsets, got me to send this one to her phone. She often paints from a photo.

Arbutus or Pacific Madrona have awesome bark.

Ditto on the hedge and I LOVE madrones! Broke my heart to have to leave the one I had been nurturing at the old place.

okay, trying to embed these using the grey button above but not sure if it will work. Nope. Attachments seem to be the only way.

It's incredibly handy to have a partner that's a blacksmith! He often uses his skills to make the most incredible tools with a beautiful feel and look.  Below are dirt daggers that are my very favorite tool!
check out his art - couldn't be luckier!
