Evelyn - keep it coming! I lived in Mombasa for three years back in the 70s and this artwork is bringing back fond memories of Kenya.

Jennifer, I started a thread so I don't fill this one up! Thank you so much for the encouragement! Encourage me, I make you more art! Is there a personal message on this website so I don't need to shout out to everyone? I would love to chat about your experience and see what has changed!

Evelyn - next to the date in a person's post there should be a "PM" button - this stands for Personal Message (or as Paul likes to call them, a "Purple Moosage"). Just click on the PM button next to the date on one of my posts and you can send me a message.

My friend Brian and I got carried away piecing chicken quilt blocks from scraps and ended up with an explosion of hens. We looked at each other like "what are we going to do with these chickens now that we have them?" Well a friend had given us some batting scraps from larger quilts so we made a stack of potholders. Here are two of them.

Hi All; For the last five years my wife has been making all sorts of neat crafts from local montana slate / copper wire / gemstones . Slate planters with succulents, fairy gardens ,wire wrapped wind chimes , copper wire trees , wire wrapped pendants/gemstones , wire wrapped dragonflies , petrified wood or slate ikebana vases and much more. We can be seen at the peoples market in missoula saturday mornings thru the summer. Her website "Rocks By Liz" is still being built , but she can be found on facebook at rocks by liz jewelry.

I always have some project going, here is my ongoing portfolio on Pintrest. Stuff I Built

Most of my stuff is contract work for display. This is a cardboard stool I built with a "French Enamel Varnish" (FEV) treatment on the sides.

Here are some more pots I made. I finally got to take pictures of them because I gave them as christmas gifts so I didn't want to post pictures of them until I gave them.

Just a fruit bowl I made on the wheel. The wheel is probably my favorite. Super freaking cathartic for me. I just stop thinking about everything in the world but what my hands are doing.

This one is a slab pot I made that was sort of intended to be a casserole dish but my mom is too scared to bake it because she thinks it will break. haha so she turned it into a little pen holder and she even put her permaculture playing cards in there!

This one is a giant coil pot I made. You can even see the crack, which I wanted in the picture. Because I think imperfections make them better.

Another giant coil pot I made. I don't like the glaze on this one, because it isn't really a glaze. the studio I made this one in had only weird paints to glaze with so it didn't turn out like I wanted it to, but it is still pretty cool.

I do all types of art. I like woodworking a lot. I sew, paint, draw, sculpt, you name it.
I used to have a etsy shop, but was afraid of not selling anything. I can still hear my fathers voice saying I will be a starving artist. Parents should never tell their children that.
I also chainsaw carve. I do marquetry. The woods I use are from trees where storms have taken them down.
When I lived in Florida, much of the wood came from hurricanes and also washed up on the beaches.. I thought I had some one here, my cell.
The one you see is from another artist, but I turned it to grayscale and then colored it in what I wanted. One she is wearing lavender dress and one is blue. I call her myahh.
I did this with my computer. Just paint shop pro.
I like many scenery pictures and of there are people in it, I take them out of it. I also put some people into the picture where it is impossible to be. I did one pic for a friend that was on his motorcycle and put it on the beach he loved. It's a lot of fun.

I have to go dig up a few of my woodworking pics and wood sculptures. So please bear with me.

Here are some of my woodworking things. The dolphin fish is 3 foot long. I did two others also for a resteraunt. The hog fish is from cedar. Shellac finish.
The two dolphins are marquetry ( inlaid wood ) into a velvet lined box.
