I've got a day off today so I don't spread this rotten cold around (although I think I'm possibly the last to get it) so I'm drafting out my xmas letter, browsing on permies and listening to some music.
I got sent 'tooled up' by one of my sister in Australia so that is on the stereo at the moment. If you haven't come across the Spooky Men's Chorale here are a couple of their songs to start you off:

Been on a bit of a Matt Mahaffey kick lately. A fascinating musical rabbit hole to fall down...

Soaking the beans tonight to make boraccho beans tomorrow. As the old joke goes ... it will be chili tonight but hot tamale. This is some appropriate mood music for the occasion.

In the words of Monty Python ... and now for something completely different. I was at the concert where this first song was recorded. More of a week long event than a concert. Stevie Ray Vaughn's brother Jimmy was the opening act. About midway through the show the Stones did something completely unexpected with this song. The last one is music to my ears. What's not to like about a Pitts & a P51 playing together? There's good adrenaline right there!!!

This. Exactly this. This is what my therapist has been talking about. And now with a tiny ad:
the permaculture bootcamp in winter (plus half-assed holidays)
