This week we are giving away four copies of Wardeh Harmon's book, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Fermented Foods

Wardeh herself will be popping into the forum over the next few days answering questions and joining in discussions.

From now through til Friday, any posts in this forum, ie the cooking, food preservation, food choices forum, could be selected to win one of four copies of Wardeh's book. Full details are here.

To win, you must use a name that follows our naming policy and you must have your email set up in Paul's daily-ish email..

Winners will be notified by email and must respond within 24 hours with their snail mail address.

Jami has posted a staff review, and the book is also available from amazon.com, amazon.co.uk and from Wardeh's own site.

Or join in on one of the current threads (discussions) in this forum.

My German Grandmother(Oma) used to practice edible landscaping through the depression and the second world war and had jars and crocks of harvest in her basement as a matter of course. The fermentation book looks interesting.

This sounds great! Trying to upgrade my diet and general health. While I have tons of experience with canning, freezing and drying, have never tried fermenting.

The Complete Idiot's Guide to Fermenting Foods sounds right up my alley.
I'm already growing 'things' in my debris mounds...so it would be nice to be able to have fermented foods in my refrigerator that are not science projects.
