So i am in the process of building a tiny house, i have the skid built and the floor built. Most of the materials are here to get it to "lock up"
I am wanting to get peoples input on what they did for their layout.
I have tried looking at youtube videos and they tend to show a different perspective that i am looking for. More of a look at how fantastic this small space looks. I am wanting more space saving ideas. Like using a bunk bed with a desk underneath it.
What did you wish you had done?
What is working really well for you?
What could be improved?
Have any resources to share? youtube channels?
I am dealing with a 10' x 20' area. I am going to have a tiny bit of overhang on my roof to allow for some outside storage. I can also store some items under the building.
I dont know what videos you are watching, but the ones I see are full of clever ideas.
maybe look in different areas such as space saving, off beat designs etc.
10 x 20 is past a Tiny house, its a small house.
Look at Small house designs.
Even 'clever ideas in space saving'
Iterations are fine, we don't have to be perfect

I really like our banquette with pedestal table. The banquette has storage inside and the table has a multitude of felt pads under it's base so it's easy to move around.
I also like our counterbalanced alternating tread stair for accessing our sleeping loft. Here's a video we shot this morning:
And a chest freezer converted to fridge mounted under the kitchen counter on heavy duty slides has also worked really well.

Jordan, I've always been fascinated by how efficient or inefficient house layouts can be, however people can have *very* different needs, so it would help me if you could identify things like: Do you like to cook?
Do you have specific storage needs - like sports or camping equipment?
A little about your climate - it amazes me the tiny houses that have no good spot for foul weather gear - having motor-homed with 2 kids, that was a problem!
Does having to move 5 things to get the thing you want drive you up the wall, or do you consider that standard operating procedure?
Think about other similar questions that would help narrow down what would make the space feel like a new glove made to fit you?
