Folks,

My wife and I have recently settled on a vision that we'd like to bring to reality. We want to create an intentional community somewhere here in Maine with two major characteristics. First it will be designed around regenerative agricultural principles and renewable energy/technology. In other words let's build a small village living as integrated as possible with the earth. Second if possible we want everyone to have earth spirituality / goddess worship in common. The first step we're taking is gathering a core group of people who can work together to flesh out the vision and begin planning. If you're interested or know someone who might be please contact me.

Blessed Be...Bill

Welcome to Permies Bill!
I hope this goes very well for you.  I certainly would be interested in visiting to see how this ends up working out.  Very best wishes from a fellow Mainer.

Hi Bill!
I'm a self identified pagan permie, and I just happen to live in Maine! I'm very interested in learning more about your vision, as I'm looking for a place to truly call home and invest my skills. Let's talk!

Hi Bill, my name is Nicole and I've been learning all I can about starting intentional communities because this too is my vision!  I'm born and raised in Southern Maine.  My partner Kyle and I have been together for 12 years and have an 8 year old daughter.  I homeschool her and teach at our homeschool co-op.  I'm learning all I can about foodscapes and permaculture design.  I'm also in the process of developing a wild food walk to invite anyone wanting to learn to help spread the knowledge of all the wild foods available for forage right in our back yards.  I have so many ideas.  I just need to find my tribe to share and collaborate with!  Where are you planning on starting this community?  I look forward to connecting with you and your wife!

Hi!  This is right up my alley and I even looked into moving to Maine in 2018.  Coincidence?  Maybe.  But I love your vision and if you want to we can chat more :)  I have a background in homesteading, among other skills from living such a diverse life.  Hit me back and we can chat more :)  Thanks!!

Love this!!! I want to do the same....... but here in North Idaho/ NW Montana
but open to all faiths, but everyone open to Earth based spiritual practices with an emphasis on earth care education for the public and a healing  retreat center for the human mind, body, and spirit.
Blessings and good luck to you in Maine.
Opal

well well, living in love with Earth and Divine Mother/Goddess are definitely my priorities... just joined permies, having a look 'round, saw your post.  I have my own spot in the high planes desert,  calling in a Soul partner, going to develop the place, establish community here.  Glad to see you/others , coming into  Sacred Earth and unified living πŸ™.... -Ceres

Have you begun finding your "core group"? Have you had meetings yet? Either way, I suggest you also remember, purposely if you will, to invite the Fairies and Nature Spirits. ~~One time long ago a Fairie was asked why they no longer spoke to humans and didn't help the humankind grow their gardens and care for the land. The Fairie replied, "You never asked". --We are now in a situation where the Nature Spirits and Fairies don't much care about us anymore. Many have just grown tired of being ignored or denied. It now is almost that they need to be convinced we care. Convinced we want their help and guidance. All we can do is to honestly and sincerely ask for their help. Ask for their attention. And maybe with enough time, they will answer. If they do, you will find your land will blossom in ways you have never, could never, believe. We spend so much time thinking about soil composition. We need to join with that, the other side, The Spiritual. In order to have a complete garden. ~~You can have success with just one. You can have true abundance and health with both.

This is my dream come to life here. I feel strongly I would be able to contribute. How can I get in contact with you two to learn more? I'm very open and very interested.

I see many others interested ... Where you located and do you have room for one more? I have a lot of disasters to clear up before I can start contributing in any meaningful way but I have skills that could be of value to you. For example I am a fiber-craft artist and can sew clothes among other things, so I can help turn rags into bags or other things so as to reduce, reuse and recycle even better. I currently have an RV that's falling apart, so it needs to be permanently installed on a foundation soon. I'm thinking I wouldn't mind setting it up with insulation and a basic shed roof for the winter (keep the snow and rain mostly off the roof for lodebearing purposes), and then next spring once I'm good and settled in I can work on getting all my stuff out from my storage unit (few hundred miles away).

I'm also a witch, have been for a very long time. I'm pretty flexible in the spells and rituals I do, including divination and more. I asked Hecate to bring me to the place I'm supposed to call home to settle in and work my craft, and She brought me to Maine. Maybe to you?
