I've been a dabbler in art on a few occasions. I've done pottery, carved many wooden bowls and done seven days of painting.

The painting thing came about when my daughter and niece complained about the cost of paint. Both of them were quite prolific but had never sold anything. I told them I would buy paints the next day and that I would sell a painting by the weekend. I sold six. I gave them the remainder of my supplies and challenged them to sell something. Eight years later my niece still hasn't attempted a sale. The cost of supplies controls whether she paints.

1. I painted this crude beach scene on day three of my painting stint. The wooden canvas was salvaged from the beach.

2. I carved many of these bark bowls in the summer of 2004. Later, I carved many more from wood. All started out as driftwood. My tools were stolen that fall and I haven't returned to it but will one day.

Ok, Here is a selection of oils, watercolors and pottery. I also have some pastel nudes, from college ,but may not be sutable for some audiences.

Amazing Artworks!. i'm crap! basic boring stuff has only ever come from my pea brain regarding painting, I tried it and failed... . BUT I am awesome at designing clothes, and I create restructured clothing from recycled stuff.

Clothing is the most useful form of art, don't belittle that!

I like photography but I'm not very good. Thankfully my subject matter does most of the work for me!

^ A definite thumbs up there Renate! I especially like the snaps, caught with the mist and the Autumn forest.

i am an artist too. i have so many mediums that i dont have anywhere near enough time for them all.

mostly now i make things with feathers and wings, shells, and do some metal work and jewelery with beads.
but i also love to sculpt, work with pottery and other ceramics, i make paper and bookbinding, work with fabrics and batik. i used to make a lot teapots, pottery, and sculptural planting pots, handmade tree free books, some more conventional paper blank books. those were some of the crafts that i did more frequently, before i move on to a new craft/art.

i have done all these things for money and it has been my actual job and main source of income for most of my adult life. though its pretty tough at times, and lean, i do make a small paycheck to support my humble living.

my first art forms were painting, drumming, singing, and also i was a semi professional dancer, but that was like 4 or five lifetimes ago ! or rather, when i was much younger i loved to do acrobats and dancing and would preform, and got into fire dancing as i got older. sometimes i still do some fire dancing, just for fun =)


most of my favorite art pieces i never photographed, or are blown to the winds somewhere! but i will post some stuff i have photographed.

i did a lot of peyote stitch and working with really intricate bead work...heres some beadweaving


star sapphire wrapped with beads, the stone is quite beautiful, which doesnt photograph right


and made a lot of jars covered with beads, some of them bigger, some small and wearable



i make these spiraling dreamcatchers, with copper, lots of feathers and wings and stones.
even though i have a gallery that will buy as many of these faster than i can make them, lately i cant seem to wrap my mind around making them anymore.
these are some of the simpler ones, i made some that had multiple pieces that spin around each other
