Twoflower creating a dragon! I have always wanted to be able to dream up things that are real, I want a dragon.

And the Luggage crashing along the circumfence, smashing through the hut, shaggy with seaweed and very angry.

I love those moments.

It's been hard to choose,  but I think when we first meet the luggage might have to be my favourite.

Mine is when luggage eats the thief. Luggage is by far my favorite character out of all the books. i hate that it is only in Color of Magic.

what’s this!? only in the colour of magic? the luggage returns in many rincewind sequels - maybe all of them? at least the light fantastic, interesting times (where it finds a female luggage and has offspring), and the last continent.

my vote would probably go to luggage scenes too. my favorite pratchett books are probably some of the later ones that are somewhat less slapstick, but the luggage is always a favorite.

Yeah, my favorite Luggage scene is in Interesting Times, when it's hunting sharks for no good reason.
Luggage is with Rincewind in every book.

Sounds like I'm due for some re-reads. I haven't found all of the books so I doubt I've read all the Rincewind ones. I remember him being involved with the Unseen University at times and also something about some portal/island and multiple gods, but not much else. (Was that Light Fantastic? pretty sure I read that one)

I have read most of the Witches, Death, and Guards storylines.

I've the Colour of Magic and Light Fantastic to use for my fore edge painting.  I'm not good at composition yet, so I wanted to run some ideas by you.

For the Colour of Magic, I was thinking the luggage in the foreground, the wormburg (sp? upside-down mountain) behind, and off in the sky the two on a dragon.

Or maybe there is a better moment?  I don't like giving away too much plot.

For the second book, maybe the two falling off the world?

I'm bummbed out because the Library got rid of the TV series and there were some beautiful moments in that which I would like to screen capture and use as inspiration.

Also, the books have a very small edge to paint on, so I'm not sure how much I can get in.  But not that much smaller than this:

I want to see how you’re going to represent Octarine, the actual colour of magic.

TBH I don’t remember the individual storylines in these unlike Going Postal or making money. Guess I’ll just have to reread them.

PS, that ship is beautiful.

me too.

If memory serves, it's greenish purple.

After I do the picture, I can put a foil edge on the pages to hide the painting.  gold is traditional, but holographic film exists.

PS, that ship is beautiful.

Thanks
