Rudy Valvano wrote:So I heard there was a way to store Gift Codes in with My Stuff. But I don't have that tab among my options, below DM threads - I own.

We just tried sending out gift codes to 2700 people. And we broke the system. Repairs are in progress and we hope to try again in a few hours. If things work correctly, AND if your permies email is the same as your kickstarter email, it will show up in a tab called "DM threads - gifts I manage" on the "My Stuff" page.

Colter Schroeder wrote:Good Afternoon,

I read through most of this thread looking for some sort of comment about the Edible Landscaping with a Permaculture Twist book by Michael Judd, which I see is only valid for 48 hour window, and didn't see any comments.  I wanted to make sure that this hasn't passed and that there will be sufficient notification for people to get ready to get their copy.  Do you have an estimated time window for that to happen?

Thanks,
Colter

I second what Colter said...

There is so much going on here and it is overwhelming trying to keep what is what and where and when...
I really do not want to miss out but not sure I really know what is what and where and whens...

I don't know if my emails match, didn't know that was even something I needed to be concerned with...

I see there were codes sent out but I don't have those codes (Rocket level) and there is NO tab for 'My Stuff' available so I don't even know where else to look...

I would love to take days to get thru all of this and the kickstarter updates... but I have animals and plants and spouse and grandkids and a stupid appraisal to get ready for in record time with limited resources...all while fighting my autoimmune diseases flair...  please

Thank you

The first post of this thread contains our massive to do list. There is currently only one item with an X next to it - early access to the manuscript for the $100 and up folks.

To see if your email matches, you can go to "My Profile" and check what email you put in there. If that is the same address as you gave kickstarter, then you are set. If the addresses are different, you will need to add a secondary email address to your permies account. That secondary email address needs to be the one you gave kickstarter.

We attempted to send out gift codes for the hugelkultur micro documentary earlier today. The system crashed. So we're going to try again once some repairs have been done. Hopefully later today.

"My Stuff" should be visible as one of the menu options at the very top of your screen.

We are trying to make sure that we send out kickstarter "updates" when we are doing something that you might want to know about. For any time sensitive things, we will definitely be doing kickstarter updates.

Okay, then we'll need another $15 to cover shipping. You can do so here:

We sent an update to say "those codes are broke - we are working on a fix!"

We should send new codes in a few minutes.

Here is the link to the new private forum for kickstarter support stuff:

https://permies.com/f/370/bwb-kickstarter

You will only be able to see it if you are logged in to permies and if your permies account has an email address that is the same as the email address you gave kickstarter.

We are hopeful that this new private forum will allow for a much cleaner support process where conversation can continue in more than one thread.

It says I can't access that thread.  And I have a broken computer now. But I believe the emails DO match as I recall getting all the Kickstarter. Updates as it was going on that last week at this email adress.  So why do you think I can't access it

No, it is something else.  First, I am and was logged in, then I was able to access the new thread when I selected it off of the " recent posts" list.  So it depends on what link I use, not a log in problem.

Hi Lynda, welcome here and thanks for posting to the support thread.

At the $100 level, are you wanting any physical books or just ebooks? If physical books, we will need you to cover the shipping charges which are in addition to the $100. Let me know and I'll get you set up with a special link to sort this out.

Diana,

I see that you forked over $100 and kickstarter insists that you want the $25 level.   I also see that you are in the US.

My guess is that you would like to correct this to be the $100 level.  If this is true, use this link to cover shipping stuff and we will do our best to correct the kickstarter wonkiness:   https://permies.com/pp/15/diana-massa-kickstarter-fix

Shawn Klassen-Koop wrote:PLEASE

All kickstarter support needs to happen in this thread.

1 - there is a good chance that somebody can reply much faster here
2 - you can look to see if your problem has already been solved
3 - getting your problem sorted out can help others
4 - since most of the stuff from the kickstarter will be managed through this site, we can look up your account to figure out problems (much faster!)
5 - there is a lot of work to be done and we are dividing it up amongst several people, your post here helps to coordinate between everybody.
6 - if you have a problem we are struggling to understand, we can rope in others to help
7 - this list is just the beginning of a long, long list.  Please keep all your support needs to this thread.

This is the support thread for this kickstarter.

Once the kickstarter finishes, it will be a few weeks before kickstarter tells us "these are the people who have officially backed your project!" Once that happens we will send out a backer survey through kickstarter. The survey will have questions that will help us sort out the details on handing out all of the candy.

Once we have tabulated all of the survey results, we will start to hand out some of the candy. We'll put a checklist of sorts in this thread to keep everyone updated with what we have sent out and what is still on the list of things to send out.

When you are logged in you will see a link called "my stuff" at the top of every page.  If you click on that, it will give you a list of all the things you have so far.  This link should do the same thing (maybe bookmark it?)

If you have any trouble getting any of the kickstarter candy, there might be some helpful clues in this thread. Please read to see if your question has already been answered before you post.

Thanks again for being a part of this kickstarter!

Hi I am a US$5 backer on kickstarter, I wanted to confirm that the 'Permaculture Exeperience eBook' is the same as the kickstarter 'Building a better world in your backyard book'. Also is the 'Secret inner circle forum' the same as the kickstarter private forum, as if it is I am having trouble accessing it, it keeps telling me that I don't have "sufficient privileges to access the forum". Also so far I have received gift codes for Cooking with a Rocket Oven and the Hugelkultur microdoc, have I missed anything yet? As Im still getting a handle of all the emails and permie forum etc.

Thanks!, Megan

Different book.

The Permaculture experience book is about content from the PEP/PEX forum here:

https://permies.com/f/178/

Two different forums.   You have access to the support forum.   We have not yet added people to the secret inner circle forum.

That sounds spot on to me!

Are you wanting at least one physical copy? If so, which country will you want your book(s) shipped to?

to me

I am gir bot! A rather limited bot buried deep within the bowels of the permies.com web site empire!  I come to life once in a while to talk about my favorite things!

Today, I have been activated because paul wheaton has given you magic links to "Hugelkultur Micro Documentary - HD streaming".  You can give these links to anybody you like!  You can use one for yourself if you want. Keep in mind that each link works only once.

Note that the recipient must be logged in to get access to the content!

I logged into your website before I tried the codes but I got a not available error. My email was different from the kickstarter email so I have changed my profile to match the kickstarter email but they still don't work. :(

We sent out two batches of codes. The first one had technical difficulties. What is the subject of this email?
