I guess I just feel like bragging.....

Steve and I have been married 49 years today...

It's been a wonderfully enriching and fullfilling roller coaster ride

I'm so grateful and feel blessed to have journeyed this path together.

Thanks to you all!

Rachel, as far as 'secret to success'  I think in the long run loving each other is what all that matters.....making lifes' decisions and compromises from that place of mutual love and respect.
Making a life that works for yourselves rather than others expectations and not fear a change of course in the scheme of things.

And we just had another great grandchild born this past week...life is good

Judith that is wonderful to hear!

If you feel like it, could I ask for a favorite story of Steve and you?

Love should be celebrated.

and a year later, here we are at 50 wonderful years together!

We are both getting a little creaky and having what I hear are 'senior moments'....still enjoying each others company and daily activities and mind set...hiking and family and each pursuing our studies in different areas of interest...trying to stay out of trouble

life is good💜💜💜

thank you Anne!

We're having a lazy rainy day today and then mid week a couple days hiking on the upper Buffalo River...our family rented us a cabin!
I guess they think we are too old to sleep in the back of the car anymore

Happy 50th Anniversary to you both. What an absolutely wonderful occasion! May you have many more joys together, and continue to relish all that you have built during these first 50!

I think 'the secrets' take years to slowly reveal themselves and probably vary from couple to couple...for us, communication is huge as is being flexible to change...and relax expectations....don't stay stuck in tunnel vision views of the future...attitude is everything...nothing is ever perfect, relax.

....all encompassing love as a foundation is really the answer that has got us through the ups and downs 💜
