So glad to see everyone up and at 'em again.  The flowers and other plant growth are beautiful!

Thanks, Nancy and S. M. King! We are a little slow but all better.

Watching the current news, it occurred to me to hope that you all are starting maximum food production, i.e., planting lots of potatoes, brassicas (esp cabbage), and starting a lot of chickens, ducks (and rabbits?).  Self-sufficiency in food may be very valuable ..... soon.  One of the downsides of permaculture (including hugelkultur, herb spirals, food forests, etc) is that it is seems light on subsistence.  Just a thought.... after all, it's spring, now is the time :)

I couldn't agree more about the food production, but gosh, you must have met the wrong hugels! In my experience they are a great place to grow serious food... squash are an especially good fit for hugels IMO.
