I am trying to use up things that are in my Food Storage Pantry.

I have a lot of canned pineapple because dear hubby didn't like that brand.

I like cottage cheese and pineapple, ham baked with pineapple, and pineapple cake.

Our daughter's favorite pizza is ham and pineapple.

I have never been a fan of Polynesian food.

Any suggestions?

Grill it for some char and add it to salsa.
Blend it into BBQ sauce.
Pineapple curry, or curry-fried rice is good. I'm sure canned would be OK.
If they're the big chunks or rings instead of little bits, shish-kebobs.
Pineapple miso glaze is great for roasting vegetables.

Dr birds cake is a great way to use canned pineapple.

There’s not really any pineapple in Polynesian food, that’s just 1950s tiki bar stuff.

There's the old stand-by recipes of pineapple upside down cake, ambrosia salad. Another way I like pineapple is to cut it into chunks, freeze it on a cookie sheet, and bag it to add to ice cream shakes, pina coladas (with or without booze), or for slushies.

If you've got enough to make it worthwhile, pineapple makes pretty good wine

We make a pineapple stir fry about every other week. Year-round, but especially in the summer, I use pineapple in smoothies. A smoothie for lunch is nice and cool, but also help me eat lots of kale and carrots when I'm not in the mood for a salad. The pineapple balances out those bitter flavors.

I think both dishes are pretty forgiving of brand/variation in the pineapple, but the smoothies are great if you've got a batch with unpleasant texture.

It was the best of times. It was the worst of times. It was a tiny ad.
