Fellow Permies - I have a headlamp I use around my homestead all the time - checking on chickens, putting thingS away after dark, etc.  I know you will like it too.  I currently sell the headlamp on Amazon and I would like to offer you all 50% off (only $7.79 to $8.24 depending on body color and free shipping if you have Amazon Prime).  I am hoping you will write me a quick review;  I am trying to get 100 reviews by Christmas rush and I would really appreciate your help.

Please email me at patrick@veriglow.com or purplemoosage me and I will get you a custom code for 50% off.

Regards,
Patrick

I give this headlamp 10 out of 10 acorns. I just have to say, I totally recommend this headlamp.  I won one here on permies seven months ago, and since then we have literally used it every day, for 10+ minutes/day. With that usage, we charge the head lamp maybe once a month. The thing is REALLY bright! We have multiple different headlamps in our house (a Coleman multi-colored one and two other non-brandname headlamps). None as as bright as Patrick's, and they all get noticeably dimmer after only an hour of use.

We use our headlamp for getting firewood and feeding our barn cats, and the very important task of charging my son's glow-in-the-dark toys before bed each night. None of our other headlamps make the toys nearly as bright as Patrick's. They might, maybe, charge them as brightly with fresh batteries, but after even 30 minutes of use, the headlamps are dimmer than Patrick's. We don't even charge the Veriglow that often, like I said. We only charge it when it gets as dim as the other headlamps. I think we've only charged it (plugged it into our computer's USB port) maybe 5 times over the past 7 months, and--like I said--we use it everyday! It holds a charge amazingly well, unlike many other rechargable devices we've owned over the years.

I love the wide beam of it, too. It seriously lights up our kid's room as well as his ceiling light, if not better. We haven't had a chance to use it during a power outage, but I know it will be amazing. So often headlamps have such a narrow spectrum of light that, even though it's bright, you still can't see too well. Not so with the Veriglow! It's very easy to see with this puppy!

So, anyway, I totally recommend a Veriglow. Perfect present for the person who has most every tool (ooooh, maybe I'll get one for my Dad for Christmas. The man has every tool he wants, so it's really hard to find presents for him), and the perfect tool for your homestead. If you need a headlamp, this is the one you want. If you already have a headlamp and use it frequently and are always getting new batteries for it, this headlamp would likely be a great investment. It really is that fantastic!

Edit: Just noticed Patrick didn't add a link, so I'll put one here:

Link for Most Awesome Headlamp Ever!!!

Thanks, Nicole!  I hope you gave me a review on Amazon.   I was originally solving a problem for myself.  I'm glad it's helping other people too.

Patrick

Hi, Patrick

Our hunters loved them!

I purchased two of these to give as gifts as these will be very handy for our deer hunters.  The reviews were very helpful in my decision to purchase the Veriglow and I liked the price.  I also liked that it is rechargeable and does not need batteries.

I giving the red safety lamps to the granddogs to wear on their collars.  These are really neat!

Hello Everyone.  I just wanted to let people know We rebranded from Veriglow to Loma Creek - (a little more generic name to offer a bigger variety of products)  Same great light and we even improved the port cover to make it harder to pull out.  You can find the headlight at our new website www.lomacreek.com
Use the code 25OFF for 25% off.
Thanks!

@Patrick, your amazon listing says this is "unavailable" - just so you know.

The port cover was my only complaint about this headlamp.  It would come out constantly and I have since lost it on both of these otherwise excellent headlamps.  With an improved port cover, this headlamp is a 10 out of 10.  In the thread about most used winter tool, I replied with "my headlamp".  Well folks, this is the headlamp I was talking about.  It stays in the pocket of my coat all winter (unless it's on my head of course).  I don't know how I got by as long as I did without it.  It's truly my most-used tool.

I needed a gift for my brother-in-law, and thought of these headlamps (these things are seriously great). When I went to amazon, though, they were only sold in packs of 10. If I didn't already have 4 of them (one for each member of the family!) and hadn't already bought one for my Dad, I might have went for that offer. But, I really only needed one.

I discovered that you can buy the headlamps individually from the Truly Garden/Loma Creek website. Christmas gift problem is solved!

If anyone else is wanting to just buy one or two headlamps, here's the link to the website:

Just as an addendum to my earlier post, I'd add that I just bought a 10 pack of them.  I'm not sure I can give a higher recommendation than that.

Pretty high praise for these headlamps!

Just what I'm looking for.

Unfortunately they don't seem to ship outside the USA.

I found them on the Canadian Amazon site for you and then I saw, sadly, that they show not currently available.  Shitty.

Yeah, some companies find shipping outside the US too much of a hassle.

I'm going to email them directly. Maybe they will play ball.

Does "I saw it on Permies!" have the same effect as "Open Sesame!"? We'll find out.

I give these headlamps 10 out of 10 acorns.

I bought ours several years ago and have found them to be the best flashlights we have on our homestead. I absolutely love that they are rechargeable, and they seem to hold a charge for quite awhile. I charge ours from the USB ports of a little solar recharging station I keep on the back porch. The headlamps produce a good strong light, and best of all is that it's hands free light. This is so useful for so many of the things we sometimes have to do after dark. After several years use, ours are still going strong.

Mine are still all going strong.  Some of them are more than 5 years old now.  I have them stashed by every door of my house so there is always one handy.  I keep one in my coat pocket all winter as well.  I love these lights.
