15 minutes left to get all this good stuff for as little as $1!!

Pledge here now!!! >>>>> https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/paulwheaton/garden-master?ref=aqazog

This is our list of earlybird rewards for the Garden Master Course kickstarter.

Typically Paul makes these available to every backer (even at as low as a dollar) for the first couple days of the campaign.  I remember the first time I backed.  I was literally confused, thinking there had been some mistake.  How could all this bounty possibly be given for pledges as low as a buck?

Insanity, I thought.  It took me a week just to take inventory and make a plan of information digestion.

Turns out, Paul's just kind of a unique sort of mind that looks at kickstarter differently from everyone else and hey, it's worked out okay for him so far.  Here's hoping this time 'round proves the best yet!

Anyway, on to the earlybird rewards . . .

Here's what we have:

Early Spring chapter from A Year in an Off-Grid Kitchen by Kate Downham

Justin Rhodes' Great American Farm Tour: Extended Cut

  Angi Schneider's succession planting e-book & calculator

  Nicole Sauce's Fermentation Quick Guide

The 3rd issue of Living Woods Magazine

  Composting with Chickens eBook

Chapter 10 from Leigh Tate's '5 Acres and a Dream The Sequel'

Paul Wheaton's Permaculture Thorns Presentation from Exit & Build 2022

Practical Biodynamic Farming with Adam Klaus from Permaculture Voices

Grow Don't Mow eBook from Roots Down

Hotbed Plans + Self Heating Winter Greenhouse Plans eBooks from Dirt Patch Heaven

Repeat goodies for new backers!

Paul had an idea, and you voted.  We are including many of the Rewards from past Kickstarters as earlybird rewards for this campaign!  It's a little way for us to say "Welcome!" to new Earlybird backers.  And, if you were Earlybird backers for those kickstarter too, we'll be giving these as Gift Codes this time, so you can give it to someone you think will love it as much as you did!

repeat! Gift code for The Berm Shed Movie

repeat! Gift code for Native Bee Guide by Crown Bees

Which one(s) are you the most excited about?

This is the first Permies kickstarter that I'll be backing because of the actual product, rather than just because the freebies are amazing! I have learned so much from the items I received from previous Permies kickstarters. No exaggeration to say they've changed my life and my plans for the future.

I'm most excited about Paul's presentation from Exit and Build, at this point.

Would you like a chapter from “A Year in an Off-Grid Kitchen"? Perhaps the early spring chapter with recipes for homegrown greens?

I wonder ...  for every kickstarter we do all new stuff for the earlybird.  Maybe there are people that have joined our community since the better world book kickstarter and they would like some of the earlybird goodies from that?  (a link to those goodies)

Click on the thumbs up for this post if you would like some of those goodies.

Having only recently found permies, I think this is a great idea.  :)  Also, I endlessly tell people about these crazy ideas and either annoy them to the point of surrender OR get them interested as well.  For those who already have these perks, would there be a way to allow them to be gifted to their friends / people they equally annoy?

I was pleasantly surprised with the bonuses from the prior kickstarter. At first glance the composting with chickens looks most applicable to me for what it’s worth.

This is my first kickstarter and I’m not really getting how these work and/or how to participate. Is there a how to document or link?

Candice, you just sit tight for another week or two until the Kickstarter is released. You will get notifications if you are signed up for dailyish or even monthlyish emails, I believe. At that time you just click on the link and pay your desired level of support. You can upgrade to a higher level at any time during the Kickstarter. It will run for a week or two, if the required amount for the project is reached, it will fly. At that time you receive the "candy" - the sweet prizes that are accumulating right now. The larger rewards are usually delivered some time later after they have been created and polished. That would be the Master Garden course this time. If the goal is reached before the deadline, Paul usually adds stretch goals, where extra bonuses are added when higher sums are reached. This usually applies to the backers that are willing and able to contribute larger amounts like the $50 or $100 level and up.

To do a good job with a kickstarter, you need to be well prepared.  Being well prepared is a lot of work - which is shaped by a lot of people who want to see it do well.  So we are doing the work and checking in with people who want to see us do well.

We came up with the earlybird stuff about five kickstarters back.  A lot of people throw cool stuff into the hat to offer to the people that back the kickstarter in the first few hours.

To make sure you get notified early to get the earlybird stuff, you probably want to go to "the preview page" and click on the "notify me on launch" thing:

We're working on a couple more earlybird rewards - hoping to tell everybody about them soon.

What would you like to see more of?  More gardening stuff?  Other kinds of stuff?  eBooks, movies, something else???

Surprised Paul hasn't thrown in a chapter from his own BBWIYBY book. Or maybe an mp3 download of all the Podcasts going over each chapter, they are excellent! For his BBWIYBY book, he could have a different chapter at each pledge level too :)

I have an idea...not sure if it would work or if there would be interest so let me know your thoughts.

For earlybird or bonus rewards, I could offer up some of my time. Like maybe 30 minutes to an hour doing a quick-problem-solution call with maybe the largest or earliest donors (max like 20 rewards)? Let me know if there would be interest in that. Or if you have other ideas how to structure it.

Here's a summary of my skills and talents that folks might be able to leverage in their homesteading or permaculture businesses:

I have various computer/technology, marketing, business strategy and operations skills that could contribute to your business. I have tons of experience across sales/marketing/finance/operations/technology - a 25 year award winning corporate veteran. The odds are I can help you solve problems, create processes, document procedures/ how-to's, do technology audits and make recommendations,  brainstorm revenue opportunities or opportunities to save money and more!

Additionally, I have a media/entertainment background and looking for opportunities to help make documentary films via filming, editing or creating ideas for films or episodes.
