CLICK HERE TO GO TO THE KICKSTARTER

Here is a wack-a-doodle fantasy/dream: what if 10,000 people supported the kickstarter in the first day? Would kickstarter tell more people? Would more people tell even more people? Is it possible that we could experience something that smells a bit like the proverbial “viral”?

We started putting together  a list of enticements for people that support the kickstarter and there was some feedback of “that’s plenty - it might even be too much.” And then we thought “this is an experiment - let’s do an an experiment that is way beyond too much!”

And more people and more people kept adding stuff to this list! It has been amazing!

Here is the official list of all the ADDITIONAL things that people will get if they support the kickstarter by Friday April 12th at 2 PM Mountain Time  (even at the $1 level!):

An hour long presentation by Tim Barker about ram pumps
"Six Quick Stove Tricks" from Ernie and Erica Wisner
a two hour long presentation about Farm and Animal relationships by Jacqueline Freeman

Paul's 4 hour presentation on animals in the landscape
a two hour presentation on money and finance for permies by Jocelyn Campbell
Movie about the 11 rocket mass heaters at Wheaton Labs.

The response to this is probably a big fat DUH (although said with more subtlety because that would violate the "be nice" rule ;)), but I'm going to say it anyway just in case it isn't.  I request/hope that an email is sent to all of us who get random emails from permies that JUST highlights this kickstarter once it posts so that it doesn't end up in the "I'll read it when I'm not so busy in a couple days" email pile and those of us who would love to support in the first 48 hours miss it.  Thanks!

I will be sending it out in the monthlyish.  That takes about 12 hours to process.

I think you can follow me on kickstarter.  I've never used that feature, so I don't know how that works. Here is my last kickstarter.

To follow Paul on Kickstarter (as a previous backer anyway), be logged in, click your profile icon on the top right, then click "follow creators" on the left under "my stuff". It will take you to a page of all your previous backed creators. Then just find Paul and click "follow"

Not sure exactly how it works if you haven't backed one of Paul's projects, I think maybe there's a "follow this creator" link on the top left of one of his previous projects. I know it's there on active projects, not sure about completed. BTW, I'm now following you, Paul =)

I would love to offer up one of the videos from the Eat Your Dirt Summit as well as the first video from the Garden mastery Academy: Dare to Dream of your Ideal Backyard.

Let me know what I need to do.

I’m also sending you some other people that have free things to offer 😉

Spiffy!

If you know how to create something in the digital market, I suggest that you create two somethings in the digital market - one thing for each video.  Set a price that you think is reasonable for a standalone video - maybe $5 to $10.

If you would like help, Shawn has offered to help people get that sort of thing set up.

I’m also sending you some other people that have free things to offer 😉

Excellent!

For this bonus project, we need stuff that is normally behind a paywall or not publicly available.   Or not yet publicly available.     For offering stuff that is already free, I encourage you to create a thread about it in our forums.   We're pretty generous about promoting free stuff - as long as you do it "as part of our community" and not be spammy about it.    And we're really good about promoting stuff that is for sale too.

Do you have anything that might be a fit for this bonus project?

Paul, I do have plans/build instructions for the wading pool aquaponics. I used to have it on sale for $25. Here is a description and a few pictures: https://blog.automicrofarm.com/the-automicrofarm-is-ready-for-shipping-a1cbdfef3e66

Do you think it would be a good fit?

There are six more items to be added.  Shawn says he will add them in the next couple of hours.

If we get two more items, we will have two dozen!

Paul,

We are working on an upcoming Kickstarter video project for "EVERYDAY ARTISANS - A Common Sense Approach To Breadmaking". It's instruction that involves simple measuring of ingredients (rather than weighing everything out) to make amazing Artisan Breads that can be created in any home oven. I'd be happy to add a picture rich PDF of the recipie we've developed for a simple Whole Grain Sourdough (or just regular bakers yeast) that is slow rise, phytate free, gluten reduced pizza / bread dough.

What's your time-frame? When do you need the material?

We are hoping to have all of the material in our posession and mashed into this document in the next two days.  But I think we said that about a week ago!   So it will probably be closer to the next four days.

We are hoping that between our resources and the resources of our kickback folks, this list will be seen by over 200,000 people.   And part of that is that we need to give the kickback folks this list about three days before the kickstarter goes live.

Can you work with that timeframe?

When I went to kickstarter to give feedback on the page Paul has put together, there was a box to click at the top if I wanted to follow this particular kickstarter. I was logged in...

So I assume I will be notified by kickstarter as well as through the monthly-ish.

When Paul first shared this idea with me I thought it would be pretty cool if we could have 4 or 5 bonuses. The official list is now at 29 bonuses!

K Rawlings hustled hard to get this all up in time so I can confirm that we are indeed at 30 bonus items! Tracy will be by soon to update the image.

By the way everyone... I took a quick sneak peak at K's video as I was getting things set up... It's over 4 hours of beautiful nature video of the Skeleton Falls. Super cool. Super relaxing. A very generous offering in my opinion.

I surely don't have any content to present (hah!), but I will be there for this one as well. I still haven't read everything from the last of Paul's kickstarters, or the books I supported yet.  This might be it for a while, as my pay was cut in half (lost all overtime) - but maybe now I'll have time to read and plant and stuff

Best wishes to another huge success, Paul & Shawn!
