Nobody home today but me.  Hooray!  Deep cleaned the frig.  I use lemon juice and hot, hot water.  It wasn't too bad except the crisper drawers (and underneath).  Tossed outdated bread into the forest.  Threw away expired salsa (our area doesn't recycle glass).  Feels good.

ETA: Thanks for letting me know.  I attached them before submitting for the badge.  Here they are again:

Hmmm... I have several others that are pending.  I'm wondering if I submitted them wrong (the new submit button??).

Milk, egg, and garden produce production are at their seasonal lows, so it's a good time to give the fridge a good cleaning. Anything yucky went into the compost, as did loose bits of food in the drawers and bins. For cleaning, I used hot water, vinegar, old rags, and elbow grease. For sticky spots, I scrubbed the grime with baking soda and then wiped it with clean hot water.

Emptied and ready to get started.

Cleaning

Dirty bins and drawers were removed.

I soaked them in hot vinegar water and they wiped out easily.

Interior clean.

Door clean.

I reorganized when I put everything back (for however long that lasts).

Everything back in order.

I saw some nasty looking potatoes in the veg drawer and thought of this thread.

Hot water and elbow grease was used for most of the cleaning with some white vinegar for the stubborn bits.

The potatoes are heading for the food waste bin (local council collects), didn't really want to put that in the compost, the loose bits of kale and lettuce went in the compost bin.

Deep cleaned the inside of the fridge today. Used a sponge and rag, water and dish soap (seventh generation, grey water safe). Took everything out, washed, and put back in. Old leftovers and rotten food went into the compost, old plastic containers in the recycling.

We are in the process of moving, so we are deep cleaning as we move things over to the new house. All the food was removed, packed in a cooler and put in the fridge at the new place. All the shelves were removed, and cleaned in soapy water (biodegradable of course). The same soapy water was then used to wipe down the inside of the fridge before putting all of the shelves back into place.
