We have a small fridge in my flat and spilt the shelves between ourselves. The top shelf, door and veg drawer are shared and the third shelf is mine. I cleaned these with warm water and a little bit of lemon juice. I had to wait until my flatmate was home to discuss her shelf and what needed sorting. For the waste, we ate anything that needed eating soon and recycled things like the milk carton and glass jars.

The door cleaned. I removed the shelves and slotted them back in after to make it easier.

Rearranged the items in the door. Had to unfortunately pour away the milk, but cleaned and recycled the carton

The main shelves. The second one belongs to my flatmate so I didn't throw away any of her stuff, only rearranged.

Cleaning the shelf with warm water and a little lemon juice was effective enough to remove stains and spills.

The fridge afterwards. This is the next day after I spoke to my flatmate about what we should eat now (some of the things in the tupperwares) and bought a few new things

I took notes of what I think my flatmate needs to address in the fridge and what we should think about using up soon
To show you've completed this Badge Bit, you must provide:
- a before picture of the dirty refrigerator
- an action shot of the cleaning of the refrigerator
- an after picture of the clean refrigerator
- a description of how waste was handled and what cleaners were used
- OR a 2-minute video of you doing this
I was moving my fridge and needed to empty it temporarily anyway, so used the opportunity for a deep clean as well! I thaw meat and dog food in the lower drawers, that ends up the messiest area, other than bits of crumbs and dry things elsewhere in door pockets, etc.
Hot water and vinegar only. All removeable components were soaked, scrubbed, wiped, and dried well. Total water used was about +/-2 gallons.
Cleaning cloths were laundered and line dried. Dry and wet food waste largely meat-based so either swept (dry)or strained (wet)and emptied into trash, rather than composted.

The fridge was in dire need of cleaning so I was happy to get to this BB! I used hot water, vinegar, a reusable cloth, and the vacuum cleaner to clean.
The attention.jpg shows the jug of vinegar, the applesauce and olives I ate during the operation, the sunflower butter jar was empty, the mirin didn't need to be refrigerated, and the enchilada sauce jar contained forgotten about leftovers (the disguise was too good).
All organic waste went into the vermicompost bin. All containers were cleaned and will be repurposed for crafts.

I'm pursuing SKIP to inherit property, check it out for yourself: SKIP book or maybe you're my Otis/Otessa match?
I love that Rocket Mass Heaters are Carbon-Nuetral. In Erica's and Ernies Art of Fire Presentation, Erica explains the chemistry of how that's possible!
I attended Helen's Garden Master Course in January 2022 and give the lectures 10/10 acorns! Fortunately for you, you can also see the Garden Master recordings but unfortunately you'll miss out on the fruit Helen grew and shared. It was the tastiest fruit I've ever had!
Used our normal cleaning solution of vinegar and water. The only waste was a bad carrot in the veggie drawer that was able to go in compost pile. With five kids, very little goes to waste in our house.
