Here is my submission for the Natural Medicine Aspect - Straw - Quinn List - Help with a toothache BB.

  - Describe the issue: T22 (pseudonym)  was struggling with a toothache
      - Symptoms: sore tooth on lower left - a molar
      - Duration: almost a week
      - Severity: uncomfortable - not worth seeing the dentist (yet) but didn't want it to progress
      - Medical diagnosis (if any) - none

 - Your suggestions for relief (including, but not limited to)
     - Behavioral: eat or drink in one hour increments then brush and drink water for 1-4 hours (don't sip sugary coffee all morning)
     - Food as medicine:
     - Concoctions: frankincense essential oil diluted in organic extra virgin olive oil - a tiny piece of cotton ball soaked in oil and tucked next to the tooth
Since this is a dilution of something I did not make, I'll will not count it as one of the five different times my concoctions were part of the solution.

 - Description of success
     - What your friend actually did: 2-3 times per day, 2-3 drops of frankincense oil tucked it between tooth and cheek (didn't like taste/texture of cotton next to tongue)
     - How well it worked - tooth pain decreased noticeably on second day
     - How long it took to see results: pain gone in about 10 days

To document the completion of the BB, I have provided the following photos to supplement the above information:
 - Picture of you with friend on the first meeting
 - Picture of you with friend (giving a thumbs up) on your last meeting

Roo had trouble sleeping because of a toothache. Her canines were inching their way in. She also had early tooth decay because her baby teeth came in with thin enamel. I've been doing what I can to address the decay -- natural means plus an upcoming dental appointment -- but she needed some immediate relief.

Roo doesn't talk much yet, but I knew her teeth were hurting her because she would grab my finger and put it in her mouth, as if wanting me to fix it. She also started biting random things, pulling on her teeth, and waking up frequently fussing or crying.

I recommended and did:
1) Chamomile tea in the evenings
2) A variety of foods for her to choose from, with different textures and temperatures. She particularly liked soft and cold, like frozen yogurt bark.
3) Rubbing her gums with coconut oil infused with cloves
4) 3 nights with a thin layer of plantain poultice (pounded smooth) on the decay.

1st photo - Roo was in no mood to smile for the camera. Lack of sleep made her cranky.
2nd photo - Roo doesn't have the dexterity to give a thumbs up, so here she is peacefully sleeping in my lap. Looks like something helped.
