This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEA curriculum. Completing this BB is part of getting the sand badge in Greywater.

We often hear from dishwasher manufacturers that dishwashers use less water than doing them by hand.  Let's put that to the test!



Minimum requirements:
  - Use an existing dishwasher or adequate research to determine how many dishes/silverware are in a full load
  - Wash that many dishes, collect all the water and measure it
  - Compare either to your dishwasher's specifications or to 3.2 gallons (average for full-size Energy Star dishwashers)

Provide proof of the following as video (<2 mins) and text:
  - Water usage you're comparing yourself to
  - Washing a "full load" worth of dishes, may be over multiple events
  - Measuring all the water used

I completed the PEP version of this. Does it fill the requirement for PEA?

If you check the requirements, you'll see that these are fairly different.  So the short answer is no.
